Cameron looked at his feet. He felt... Taken care of. Just like Ashton did at the beginning of their relationship. At the thought of his husband, he quietly sighed, then turned on his phone. A multitude of notifications popped up on his screen.

Reece came back downstairs in a pair of grey joggers, “there we go,” he said, walking back into the kitchen. He saw Cameron sat sone staring at his phone, “you okay?”

Cameron jumped up surprised and put the phone in his pants pocket.
"Yes... Sorry," he grunted and then looked at him, "Can you take out the plates? I'm too short to reach"

Reece laughed, “that’s so funny, imagine being small”, he teased, reaching up and grabbing them. “Here you go,” he said, placing them down on the counter.

Cameron smiled slightly and thanked him. He poured soup into bowls for them.
"I'm not an experienced cook, but I hope it will taste good."

“I’m sure it will taste good, I know it smells good”, he said and sipped it whilst walking. “Wow this is actually so good”, he complemented and sat down at the table.

Cameron smiled slightly and then sat down at the table next to him. He began to eat the soup quietly.
"It may be a little under-seasoned.... But I'm careful not to overdo it."

“I don’t really have seasoning in my food”, he said going a little red, “but I do like this!” He carried on eating, making sure to leave none behind.

Cameron scratched the back of his neck somewhat embarrassed.
"If you don't like it then don't force yourself," he said quietly

“I loved it,” he said, standing up to take his bowl into the kitchen, “let me know when you’re done so I can wash up.”

Cameron nodded his head. He finished eating a few minutes later. He handed him the dirty dishes.
"Can I help you with something?"

Reece nodded, “sure what is it?”. He took the plates and walked over to the sink, filling it up with hot water.

Cameron was just about to say something, but suddenly his phone started ringing. It was Ashton.

Reece looked over at Cameron whose face had dropped. “Is that him? Your so called husband?”, Reece asked, walking over to him. “Calm down, it’ll be okay,” he assured.

Cameron caught the phone in his trembling hands. He looked at it with fear. When he didn't answer, he received a text message from Ashton.
"You are an idiot. If you don't come home, I'm reporting you missing to the police."

“What does it say?”, Reece asked Cameron, leading him to a chair to sit on. He briefly rushed away to get him a drink to take sips of.

Cameron felt as if he had lost his voice. He couldn't say anything. He simply handed him his phone so he could see the message. At the same moment, Ashton called again.

Reeves eyes widened, “how dare he say that knowing what he has done,” Reece said, becoming angry. When he saw Ashton calling again he frowned, “do you want me to answer?”

Cameron was really unsure. He just let him keep his cell phone on. He stroked his tummy caringly.

“Right, either I answer him or you block him,” Reece said, “I’m serious, you have got to let him go”. He hugged Cameron as the phone stopped ringing.
