Reece frowned, “do you want me to speak to another nurse? Maybe that one was just being mean”, he asked.

“Are you sure?”, Reece asked, wanting confirmation. “Is there maybe another position you want to be in?”

"Maybe on the hip? I don't know..." he replied frankly

“Okay, laying down”, Reece tried to confirm, “or we could sway again?”

Cameron furrowed his brow as he made his move.
"No, please... No swaying."

“Okay, laying down it is”, he said, helping him to move.

Cameron thanked him and then put his hand around his tummy, feeling another contraction coming on

Reece sat down on the chair nearest to the bed, he felt as if Cameron could benefit from having some time to himself. “Why don’t you try get some rest?”

"Mhm... Good," he agreed and tried to take a short nap

Reece watched over Cameron as he tried to sleep, he occasionally looked at his phone and researched what to expect during labour. There was some interesting facts and information that he saw including ways to relive the pressure yhag Cameron would be feeling. Perhaps he should try them.

Cameron breathed steadily. He could feel his body getting used to the pain, when suddenly a strong cramp caught him, and mucus ran down his leg.
"Reece..." he moans "Call the midwife, please."

Reece stood and rushed towards the bed, pushing the button on the wall. He grabbed onto Cameron’s hand, “that should get their attention”.

Cameron gripped his lover's hand tightly. The midwife arrived as soon as she could. When she removed her fingers from Cameron's anus, she looked at them.
"Well, it's time..." She replied and pressed a button "We will transport your partner to the delivery room. You want to attend the delivery, right?" asked Reece

“I do”, Reece nodded. He did not want to miss the birth of his future step child. He looked down at Cameron for confirmation.

Cameron only gave him a quick nod when the nurses began to drive him.
"Please follow me, you must first dress in a special outfit," the nurse explained

Reece followed the nurse and found himself in a room filled with blue protective wear, “I assume I’ll be wearing this?”, he asked.
