Chris nodded his head. He sat down next to him on the couch and turned on the TV.
"Cooper? You single?"

He looked over at Chris and nodded, “sadly, no man wants me”, he joked. “What’s your favourite film?”, he asked, “we can put that on”.

Chris nodded.
"So... How about some comedy?" he suggested, and by chance their hands came into contact.

Cooper looked down at their touching hands and made the move to hold Chris’. “Sure, I love comedy films”.

Chris felt his cheeks blush.
"I'm glad..."

Cooper chuckled and diverted his attention to the film, laughing when something funny happened. He looked over at Chris occasionally, enjoying the sound of his laugh.

Chris at one point put his head on his shoulder.
"Cooper? Come visit me more often."

“Sure, it’s nice spending time with someone every so often”, he said, wrapping his arm around Chris.

Chris took a quick look at his crotch, then blushed.
"Cooper? You know... I'm pregnant and sometimes... I need closeness."

Cooper chuckled, “I do but you’ll have to use your words and explain it properly”.

Chris leaned toward him.
"I..." he began, but then remembered the casserole left in the oven "I have to go to the kitchen."

Cooper tried to hold in his laugh at Chris’ forgetfulness and then stood up and stretched. “Is the casserole okay?”

Chris carefully pulled the dish out of the oven. He looked at the meal.
"Yes... Fortunately," he replied and sniffed, "Will you take out the plates?"

“Sure”, Cooper drawled out, opening the different cupboards before finding the plates. He got two out and the waited for the food to be dished up.

Chris fell silent for a moment.
"You know... You're a good man, so let me make a suggestion" he began quietly "In this club where you work.... I got pregnant"

Cooper listened, “mhm, are you suggesting you want me to find out who?”

Chris denied it right away.
"I just wanted to confide in you.... I was a little shocked that you were working there. I'm not going to look for the baby's father."

“Yeah that’s fair enough, you wouldn’t want someone to ask for shared custody, I guess”, Cooper theorised. He took his plate and left the kitchen, “come on, let’s sit”.

Chris sighed quietly and followed Cooper into his living room.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have started this topic. I spoiled the atmosphere a bit."

“No it’s okay, it’s interesting stuff”, Cooper said, sitting back down. “Now come and eat, it smells delicious”.
