"I am sorry... i am so sorry ..." jamie kept apologizng while he made the cut. The smell in the room was suffocating, something's burning and the wound smelled. It wastn the end though. Jamie had to clear some of the rottening flesh, in the process cleafing as much pus as possible out of Morrison. The omega was trembling so hard. Jamie as well, had sweated from the intensity of what he was working on. He had to keep a steady hand. He needed to keep calm, and that meant ignoring the signs that his mate had been in distress, whi h was challenging in itself being an alpha.
Jamie had never wanted to eb an alpha, and in fact aftwr his secondary gender had shwon, some of the villagers even refused to come hear his teachings, rhinking alphas were too aggressive and did not deserve to be a priest. It hurt, but nothing could compare to the rejection of his marked mate.
The treatment lasted for a mere 15 minutes until Jamie was reasonably satisfied, but for them both, it was so exhausting it felt more like hours. Jamie finally finished the new stitches and collasped on the bed as well.
