The service lasted almost an hour. Jamie wrapped it up as swiftly as he could, disappearing to the back before the villagers could stop him with questions. he was usually more approachable, willing to give his blessing towards people when they asked for it, but today he simply didn't feel like he had that right - he was a sinner, and to a certain extent he was afriad his blessings would only bring bad luck.
he came to the back fo the house and worked on his routines, then headed to Morrison's room ready to amek some breakfast. he had expected Morrison to be awake, so he entered as quiet as he could, hoping he woulnd't mind his presence too much. it surprised him when the room appeared still dark, and the squriming and pained moans of morrison startled him. "morrison?" he asked anxiously, still hesitating at the door until a faint yelp for help reached him. "morrison?" he asked again, this time more urgently as he came forward to feel him. "you have a fever..." he saw his unnatrually flushed face and tested his temprature. "must be the infection..... here." he helped him sit up. "drink." he said pressing the cool glass of water readily available beside him.
