Story:
Supernaturals have been brought out of the shadows for years now; for some it could be considered a relief from the hiding and lurking in shadows, for other's it's a whole new problem. What exactly is that problem? Supernaturals are not considered 'human' by definition, marking them ineligible to human rights. Currently they're treated as little more than livestock; humans legally have the right to own them and collect them. Of course, because of their rarity and difficulty to capture and contain, it costs a great deal of money to own supernaturals. Yet, among the wealthy, supernaturals are in high demand for competition and breeding. Werebeasts, vampires, and other powerful creatures are pitted against each other in a cruel and deadly adaptation of cock fighting. Others are put in more unique competitions; if a supernatural has a specific ability there's a competition for it, deadly or not.

Edgecliff is a large estate owned by a wealthy family, known as the Turners, that has been breeding and competing supernaturals since it was deemed legal to do so. With high numbers of creatures and staff the Turners are well known in the area and in the sport. It's not uncommon for their name and supernaturals to be well praised among the community; earning money from competition wins and breeding sales. Every once in a while they will offer up seeder studs for high prices and carriers for even more money as it takes them out of the competition until the child/children are born. However typically they prefer to breed within their own collection, enjoying mixing races to produce more unique and powerful offspring that can excel in more than one category of competition.

Code:
[b]Name:[/b] (Only requires a first name, upon capture if the supernatural had a last name it's generally taken from them and they are given the last name of the family that owns them. In this case it would be Turner.)
[b]Age:[/b] (18+ as per site rules please, can be much older as supernaturals have much longer lifespans/are immortal)
[b]Supernatural Species:[/b]
[b]Seeder/Carrier/Both:[/b] (Can also state if you character is already pregnant/breed to another supernatural at Edgecliff or to another estate's high class competitor.)
[b]Specialty:[/b] (This would be what kinds of competition your character is entered into. Your character can be a breeder but that wouldn't be primary as the Turners only breed successful competitors.)
[b]Description:[/b] (Get creative, these are supernatural characters and do not have to abide by natural human standards of appearance. If your character has more than one form, i.e werewolf form and human form, please describe both.)

Name: Caspian
Age: 25 years old
Supernatural Species: Merman
Seeder/Carrier/Both: Carrier
Specialty: Underwater swimming/Water manipulation

Description: About average height, standing at about 5’11”, with a lean but athletic body from his regular swimming. He has naturally light blue hair with eyes that can be best described like an opal gemstone, often reflecting many different colors in the light. His skin is naturally pale as he spent most of his life in the water away from sunlight and since his capture it hasn’t changed. Out of the water and when dry he walks on legs but when touched by any amount of water he regains his natural finned form. His tail is the same light blue as his hair with some scales being a darker almost navy blue to add a shimmering affect while in the water. His fins are much darker than his tail but fade off into a light almost white blue nearer the tips.

Bio: Caspian was caught by fishermen when he was nineteen years old, tangled in fishing net he was helpless as they pulled him ashore. Of course the fishermen were happy to have caught him and quickly sold him to the Turners for a hefty sum of money that allowed many of them to stop working for a couple of years at least. It took more than a few months for the Turners to get him cooperative enough to compete but once he did they were pleased with the results. Caspian is a fast swimmer, faster than most of his kind, and his ability to manipulate water leaves his opponents little opportunity to get passed him. After four months of consecutive wins they decided to breed him for the first time with one of their own prize fighting werewolves. (Another player can play as this character, you don’t have to ask as there’s no real relationship between Caspian and this character. There can be a relationship developing if you’re interested but there doesn’t have to be. Don’t have to ask, first come first serve, just mention it in the bio.)

A little less than nine months later Caspian bore twins. The two were different species, a werewolf and a merman, as the two species were far too different to produce a complete hybrid, though the children seem to have inherited traits and abilities from each parent. Once the children were old enough to be weaned away from Caspian, the werewolf offspring was sent to be cared for and taught by the werewolf sire while Caspian was allowed to keep and care for the small merman.

Now at four years old, Caspian still finds it difficult to attend to his son’s needs and still prepare and participate in his competitions but he’s doing well and still at the top of his league. He’s allowed to see his werewolf child on occasion, though it’s difficult for him to teach him anything as he’s not familiar with his own child’s species. The Turners have made attempts to breed him again but because of his discomfort and lack of understand when it comes to baring offspring of a different species he’s fought them off thus far, attacking staff and suitors who have tried.

Caspian watched patiently at the edge of the pool, not going in himself, as his young son swam laps around the water. When he was first brought to Edgecliff estate he only was ever allowed in the pool to train, but after having his child he was given more freedom and access to his natural environment and it pleased him to see how much his son enjoyed it as well despite never seeing true ocean waters. The pool was sufficient at least, larger than a typical human’s pool and far deeper; eighteen feet being the lowest and somewhere nearing forty feet at it’s deepest. It was enough to give him privacy at the bottom and allow him to get plenty of exercise as well.

“Reif,” he called to his son, beckoning him closer. It was nearing lunch time and he was sure after the amount of swimming the four year old had done he’d need his energy replenished with food. Swimming was much easier and much more natural than walking for a mer like themselves and children could swim decently at a young age to avoid predators like sharks. For being so young he could already see the speed the young boy would have when he was older, though it also brought a sharp pain of regret in his chest to know that had been what the Turners had wanted and the only reason Caspian was allowed, or rather forced, to have him.

Reif was larger than the average mer already, getting that from his sire. He also had bright yellow eyes like those of a wolf, but that was about all the genetics would allow from a different species. The rest were personality traits, and his mischievous, and at times aggressive, personality were certainly not from Caspian himself. Caspian had only started to get aggressive recently after the Turners attempted to breed him again, utterly refusing and admittedly causing his suitor a bit of harm, but he just couldn’t bare to do it again. Not when it was so difficult to part with Reif’s twin. The next time he might not bare a mer at all and he wouldn’t be able to keep the child.

As soon as Reif was at the edge of the pool close to him, he scooped the young boy up with a clean dry towel. “Let’s get some food,” he told the young boy, heading out of the pool room to the common dining room where staff prepared meals for all of the creatures housed at Edgecliff. “How does shrimp sound?” Reif gave and excited yes as Caspian carried him into the other room, still slightly damp from the pool and not yet regaining his legs to walk himself.
