“And babe...I’m looking forward to being a parent ..whether it’s now or later...” Maurice said rising up and planting a gentle kiss on Nate’s forehead.
Maurice always knew the right words to say. He knew exactly how to keep his omega calm, regardless of the situation. Although Nate was excited at the prospect of fatherhood and he knew Maurice would be the perfect parenting partner, there was still a part of him that was nervous. After all, the two had only been married for a few weeks. They were still enjoying their newlywed life. A baby would change their lives forever. Nate knew financially they would be fine. But what tolls would the new baby take on the newlyweds physically and emotionally?
Nate took another sip of his tea and slowly rose out of his chair. “I think I’m going to go lay down for a bit while we wait for the doctor to arrive.”
Nate slowly made his way to the parlor where he collapsed on one of the plush couches facing the window. “May I get you anything else?” asked the servant. “No thank you. I’m just going to rest here for a bit.” Nate replied.
