Kale blushed a bit as Shinjo kissed him and he kissed him back before looking back down at the wolf pup, smiling softly at it. "Hi there Kovu, i'm Kale, it's nice to meet you." He said, petting the wolf pup gently.

Kovu squeaked out her version of a bark softly and wagged her tail softly. Before sniffing around his chest for milk. Shinjo smiled and summoned a warmed bottle of milk suitable for the pup and handed it to Kale. "She is hungry."

Kale nodded and gently held Kovu in his arms like he would an actual child with one arm, while he put the put the nipple of the bottle at the pup's mouth, smiling softly when she started drinking. "She's really cute, isn't she?"

"Yes, she is." Shinjo smiled gently and kissed him. "Just how our pups will be. Beautiful, sweet, gentle and kind like their mother". He whispered into his ear. The pup blinked and watched him as she hungrily drank the milk.

Kale kissed him back before blushing a bit as he was complimented by Shinjo, before he looked down at the pup, smiling softly at it as it drank until the bottle was empty. "There we go, good Kovu." He said with a soft smile, taking the now empty bottle away from Kovu.

Kovu looked around the garden curiously making small squeaks and whines in place of barks. She locked eyes onto a interesting flower and unsteadily climbed out of Kale's lap to get a closer look at it.

Kale smiled softly as Kovu decided to investigate one of the flowers in the garden, admiring the pup's sense of curiousity and adventure, knowing he himself as a child had been in the same position as the pup, exploring the world around him with a curiousity of the way things worked and why people did what they did.

Kovu sniffed the flower curiously and pawed before turning to look up at Kale and Shinjo. She made a squeaking sound crossed with a whine. As she circled the flower interested by it and studying it closely.

Kale giggled a bit at the pup's curiousity, watching Kovu closely as he wants to make sure she's safe and to watch her for himself, as he's always been interested in wild animals.

Shinjo smiled at the pup sniffing the flower and squeaked curiously after she sneezed. Before looking back at Kale curiously for a answer about what it was. She soon lost interest in the flower and started to chase her tail instead.

Kale smiled softly and stretched as he watched Kovu, snuggling into Shinjo's side as they watched the pup

Shinjo smiled and kissed him enjoying the sight of the pup excitedly running around the garden interested by everything in sight.

Later in the afternoon Kale stretched as he walked the grounds of Shinjo's temple at a leisurely pace, Kovu having fallen asleep earlier as she had tired herself out from all of the playing. Kale smiled softly at his new love as they walked the grounds together. "So...what exactly is it like...you know...being you?"

"Well before I had met you and brought you into my life. I was lonely for so long. In the beginning I was fine with being alone in the world with the forest's creatures and plants as company. But soon the loneliness started to drift in my life. The believers and worshipers who used to wander this forest and leave offerings and pray to me. Started to leave me behind along with their faith in me or that I existed." He replied gently with a smile as he stroked Kale's belly. "But now that I have you, Kovu, and the unborn pup growing inside your belly. I feel like the most luckiest, happy and blessed creature in the world". He stopped and got onto his knees. He laid his ear against Kale's belly and kissed it gently. "That's right, little one, continue your sweet and innocent dreams of the world outside". He whispered.

Kale nodded sympathetically "I can only imagine...i mean...for the most part people thought your temple was destroyed hundreds of years ago. I really didn't think that though...I thought that your temple was out there somewhere, preserved by the dense canopy of the forest from he wind and rain, and even if it was destroyed i was going to find where it once stood and look for evidence that you actually existed...and well, i sure found your temple and you..." Kale smiled softly before looking at his belly. "And this little one or these little ones growing inside of me are testimony to that." Kale blushed a bit as Shinjo kissed his belly and whispered to it...or rather the unborn pups.

"Yes, you are right my love. I am truly touched and honored at the thought of you searching for my temple. Just to prove I was still alive or had even existed once in this world". He smiled and purred as he summoned a beautiful flower with it's petals still closed. He willed it to open and revealed a golden necklace with his symbol on it. "A beautiful gift for the one I love and shall always remain at my side." He smiled and slipped into Kale's neck. Before kissing his lips gently and held him close.

Kale smiled softly at Shinjo's response before he looked at the flower, the unopened bud of said flower making him wonder why it wasn't quite opening, after all as the guardian of the forest and it being spring he would have made sure the flowers have bloomed. And as it bloomed Kale gasped as he saw the necklace, his eyes wide. "I-it's beautiful." Kale simply stated as he looked at the golden necklace, the symbol of shinjo's temple upon a small locket attacjed to the necklace, he kissed Shinjo back as he was kissed, feeling something...invigorating...as the clasp closed behind his neck...'always?' Kale thought to himself before asking. "But how can i alway be at your side?...i mean...i'm mortal."

"Yes, always. I shall arrest your age and youth so time, illness or death may touch you". He whispered into his ear and nibble his neck gently. "Just please hold onto me. It shall only hurt for a moment". He licked the area he was nibbling and sucked on it. As he held Kale tightly in his arms so they were chest to chest. "Now and forever my love". He whispered one more time. Before biting down onto Kale's neck breaking the skin and flooding his mouth with his blood. He licked the blood and pain away. As he whispered smoothing words into his lover's ear. While the watching the wound heal itself and form into the shape of a fox's paw print with a leaf in the center.

Kale held onto Shinjo as he said, humming a bit as he licked and sucked upon the spot of his neck that he was kissing before, where the shoulder and neck met. As he felt Shinjo bite him he hissed a bit n pain as he bit hard enough to draw blood. As his mouth was filled his blood kale felt something...renewing...he felt as if he had all the time in the world to do...everything. As Shinjo pulled away and whispered sweet nothings to him he felt the wound heal almost instantly, nd when he looked at his fur he noticed how the color had changed on that sport from white to black, a pattern perfectly matched to the scar now under his fur.
