Ben returns home, slipping into the shower when he did. Over the next week he worked on his plan and hoped that Thomas was doing the same.

When Joel left for his party on friday, Thomas had been so nervous and he could have sworn that his husband could tell that the jig was up. Though it was just him being paranoid, the man left the house with a simple door being shut and he waited a full half hour before beginning to finish packing. He had shoved all of the kids things into two big bags and now it was his turn to collect clothes and any other things they would need on the rode. His heart was thumping and he couldn't believe they were leaving together, he had this stupid grin on his face like the first time he and Thomas had first had their affair. It never left either, even when things weren't hot and steamy there were still real feelings there that he hadn't felt with Joel since never.
For the rest of the night before twelve, he sat with the twins sleeping in their carriers and Bella watching cartoons while his hands rubbed over his middle. He had never been a religious person but he had been praying that the baby didn't come before they had a chance to get away and it had worked. Even too well, since his due date had approached then passed and now he sat here a few days over it, worrying about if he would jump into labor any time soon. He didn't think they could handle that alone, not with three young kids, a car full of luggage and how high risk his pregnancy was.

Ben had attended the party, it was mandatory. About halfway through he began to put his plan into action, seeking out his mother first. When he found her in the crowd he had sweat beginning to pool on his forehead, his hair damp around the edges. All it took was a simple feel of his cheek before she sent him straight upstairs to bed, he made sure to kiss her cheek before he left though. Now with that out of the way he gathered what things he would need before sneaking his way out the back as he had done many times before. He caught a taxi to a car dealership, rented a vehicle under a false name and paid the guy pretty good to keep his mouth shut before making his way to pick up Thomas and the kids.

They were waiting for the call, Thomas kept his phone close to him and checked to make sure there was no change every few minutes. His daughter didn't ask many questions today, all she knew was that they were going with Ben and Joel wouldn't know or ever be seen again. Hopefully. When the man finally called, he was gathering up their things quickly as easily as he could and was leaving out of the penthouse doors by twelve o'five. Flipping off one of Joel's security cameras and taking the elevator down, bags on his back and slung over his shoulder with two babyseats in his hands. While Olivia took one last look around with a great big smile, almost oblivious to what was going on. They were never coming back here and he wondered how she would process it when she finally understood.

Ben pulls up to the house, helping Tobias get the bags loaded before they get the babies strapped into the truck. After Thomas pulled himself up into the truck they took off into the darkness.

They rode for a while and Thomas laughed softly as his hands traveled down his middle,"We're out... We're fucking out..."He pressed his lips together and glancing back over his shoulder at the kids, Bella was sleeping and the twins were too,"I... I can't believe that we're finally going to be together."He said and reached to hold the others hand tightly, leaning to rest his head on his shoulder.

"Yeah...you are." Ben squeezes Thomas' hand as they continue to drive.

Thomas fell asleep like that, head resting on Ben's shoulder and eyes closed with his free hand laid upon his middle while they drove. He only awoke when the sun was up and the babies were babbling behind him, he had maneuvered to lay his head against the window instead. His hand rubbing over his middle when he became more aware and lifting his head with a slight groan.

"Not very comfortable is it?" Ben glances over at Thomas as they're pulling into a rest stop.

Thomas shook his head,"Not really."He smiled briefly as his hand rubbed over his middle some more and he sat back with a heavy exhale,"Mm. You should let me drive so you can get some rest."He told him, reaching to rub his thigh gently and squeeze it.

"I'll be alright." Ben shuts the truck off as they pull into a parking space. "Alright, bathroom break. If you want a snack or anything go ahead and get it, but we'll have to be stopping for gas soon."

Thomas rose an eyebrow as he looked at him skeptically,"Okay."He said and leant over the armrest to kiss his cheek then unbuckle as he climbed out of the car, then went around to pick up Taylor and Baxter. "Bella, come on, let's go to the bathroom."He told her, she rubbed her eyes and climbed out of the car to hold onto his shirt, the man waddled off towards the rest stop to take care of what they needed to. Then came back out,"I think we should just stop by Wendy's or something for food. Vending machines are too pricey here."

Ben nods. He was leaning against the truck with his eyes closed while he waited. "Okay, sounds good to me."

"Go get in the car, sweetie."He told Bella then adjusting the six month olds on his hips, then moving towards the back door as well,"Where do you want to live, hm?"He asked the girl and she grinned at the question,"In a castle!"She giggled and he smiled at her,"Hm... What about somewhere with other kids to play with?"He offered and she nodded quickly.

They all load back up before they begin driving again, Bella now fully awake and talking while the twins babbled.

The pregnant male moved to climb into the passengers seat again,"I still think you should let me drive."He told him with his hand moving to rest on the others thigh, glancing at him slightly and then in the mirror at the kids.

Though he didn't like it, when they finally reached a gas station Ben got out of the truck, pumped the gas, being sure to pay with cash, before he instead climbed into the passenger side, letting Thomas drive for a bit.

Thomas had gotten out to get snacks for himself and the children and when he came back out to see Ben in the passenger seat he smiled. Leaning over to give him a kiss and then buckle himself up, checking the mirrors and then pulling off again. "Where to?"He asked.

Ben shrugs. "Wherever, wake me in an hour and I'll take back over." Ben falls asleep not long afterward.

Thomas let Ben sleep for however long he wanted to, not looking to wake his lover up so soon, especially when he was just getting used to driving. He put on some music and ate a bag of chips as he drove behind traffic, looking in the mirror every once in a while to check up on the kids.
