James jr took a minute to gather the courage and climb back out of the truck, shutting the door behind himself with his hands going to his pockets. He looked towards his father as he headed slowly towards him, compared to him and his birth father, he was gangly and lithe. Even being the oldest and having such a large appetite, he couldn't help how he grew and the morning sickness really was making that worse. He didn't say anything, only following after the man he was named after.

James waits until they are a ways into the trees before he stops and turns to his son. "How long?" The question came as a shock, James Jr. was sure that he had hid the scent well, but then he didn't account for the growing fetus. James had smelled it the moment it began to form, though he had hoped that it didn't come down to this and James Jr. would have just told them, but that wasn't the case.

The boy stopped when he did, looking up at him as he pressed his lips together into a thin line, he looked down slightly and shrugged. James jr pushed his hands deeper into his jacket pockets, frowning up and looking at him,"What does it matter?"He replied, then looked away as he shifted his footing, the boy was sure he only meant the pregnancy and not how long he and the human kept this up. He didn't know about the pregnacy either way, he had decided to ignore it like a papercut almost.

"It matters a hell of a lot more than you think. How do you think your father is going to handle this? Your seventeen years old, not even a legal adult yet, still a kid, and your bringing another one into this world?"

"I don't know. I wasn't planning on telling him."He said simply, looking away still and sighing heavily as he rocked back on the heels of his shoes. "I'd not like I have anything planned for my life either way, what do you care?"He snorted some and shook his head,"You probably only gave a shit because dad asked you."

James wanted to respond but he simply held his tounge before starting back toward the truck. "He'll find out eventually." He made it back to the truck, sitting there for a few minutes to see if James Jr. was going to decide to ride or walk home.

James jr didn't come along, he was too prideful as he simply watched as his father walked away, his fists curled and uncurled as he looked away some. He was never sure any more of how much the man cared about them, it confused him more than he would like to admit. Everyone had gotten home at their normal time, Tobias had dinner made and everyone was fed, all but his oldest son. He had meant to ask his partner about what they talked about, though when he didn't come back home that evening, he knew that the talk probably didn't go well. Tobias stayed up, pacing on the porch in his night clothes after dinner, the kids were inside watching tv. He hadn't told them to go to bed yet, he was so caught up in his own head, this was a first, he didn't know how to react to this level of rebellion.

James wasn't saying a word about what he and James Jr. had talked about. Tobias would either eventually find out when it could no longer he hidden or his son would tell him. It the pup wanted to act like an adult then let him. This is once again were James' influence over Tobias' first litter was a problem. Both were too prideful to admit they were wrong or to look at things any other way than how their minds were set.

When Tobias had calmed down enough to head back inside, he had the kids go to sleep, usually he let the older kids stay up later though today he made everyone head upstairs to wash up and then lay down. With how his expression was, they knew not to argue with him tonight as he muted the tv and pushed a hand through his hair. He was annoyed by his partner and how he seemed to not even care that their oldest son was out god-knows-where, he went straight down into the basement where his work space was. "James, where is he? What did you say to him?"He stood on the stairs, a crease of worry between his brows.

"Nothing he didn't need to hear." The wolf barely pays any attention to the human as he continues his work. It wasn't that he didn't care, but the boy needed to learn.

Tobias headed down lower towards his work table,"James."He leant against the table with his hip, looking at him, though he didn't say much more, only sighing when he was ignored. "Great... Good to know that you care."The human turned to go upstairs again,"Don't bother coming to bed."He added, leaving the basement and rubbing his face as he went to wash dishes.

James didn't come to bed that night, he didn't go to bed at all. He stayed up all night, working. The next weeks were pretty much the same. The tension around the house was high, higher than it had ever been.

When James jr had finally came back home, the kids barely said anything to him besides a simple glance towards him, Tobias was out in the woods hunting his frustrations out. They would be having a large meal tonight by the looks of the buck he was tracking, the boy couldn't scent his birth father. Though he did smell his other father and he went towards the basement that oozed tension, the atmosphere in the house was thick and with his arrival back he knew that he had been the one to bring this upon everyone. He wasn't exactly sure what he had meant by running off, though when he came back he knew he needed to do something about his absence,"Dad-"He started, swallowing nervously and standing on the stairs as he looked down towards their fathers workshop where he had many tools for the work of carpentry he did. Which made him even more apprehensive, even when he knew that he would never hurt him in that way, it just reminded him of how he was the alpha of this house. "Where's Pop?"

"Hunting." James' reply was short but he did answer which was a surprise in of itself to James' Jr. There was the sound of something that sounded like something being thrown or breaking soon after.

James jr flinched slightly at the sound as he looked around the dim basement, then took a seat slowly on the step, scratching the back of his head. He went silent for a while, rubbing his knees and pushing his hands into his jacket pockets,"What are you supposed to say...?"He started again after a while, looking up at his father again even though he wasn't facing him. "When you tell someone this..."He was never good with words, he took after James in that way as he pressed his lips together, he had thought about this a lot lately.

"I wouldn't know." James eventually makes his way to where James Jr. was sitting before looking at him. "Unless you just come out and say it."

He shook his head when he thought about asking his father what their birth father did to tell him he was pregnant. Though he just covered his face, that wasn't a good example, their father just...knew. Nothing got pass him. James jr ran his fingers through his hair and glanced up when he heard his birth father come in through the back door. He moved to stand up, though stopped slightly,"Maybe... You should go up first?"He offered,"Unless he's pissed at you too."He rose an eyebrow slightly, looking up at the older wolf.

"Come on pup." James and James Jr. slowly head up the stairs and into the kitchen to find Tobias standing at the sink washing his hands.

Tobias shook his hands dry before drying them on a towel, he glanced back slightly at the basement door and had to take a second look when he noticed his son. He crossed his arms, hands still a slight red from the blood of gutting the buck, the human looked at him a while. Then shook his head as he began towards the living room, James jr stepped forwards hesitantly,"Pa wait-"He began and took his birth father by his arm gently, the older man looked back at him slightly and turned towards him slightly,"You better say something worth my time, James. You've really been testing me lately."He looked at the boy and he looked up between both his fathers nervously.

James had no intention of helping him with what to say. He simply stands there, waiting for the pup to come up with the right words.
