Season of the Hunt (Closed with star478, Possibly NSFW)

(Ah. I see and understand. I hope you get your sinuses or whatever's wrong taken care of soon. And Merry Christmas to you too!!)

Leo shrugged his shoulders when Brayden said that Damian--whom Leo assumed was the Alpha--wasn't that bad. Guess he'll find out soon enough then. He looked at the television when it came on as Brayden began flicking through the channels. As soon as it landed on the local news, Leo turned away and tuned it out. It wasn't the local news he was used to watching, thus he didn't watch it. And so, he didn't see nor hear the female reporter before Brayden changed the channel.

Leo's eyes got wide at Brayden's next statement.

"Seriously?!" Leo exclaimed nearly jumping from the bed, but restrained himself with a blush. "But why do our families--mine and Trevor's--have a problem with it? I mean, yes they kill humans, but...." A knock at the door cut Leo off of what he was about to say next.

The male standing at the door that Brayden just opened--Leo assumed it was Damian, the Alpha as he had that...air about him--made Leo want to just curl uup in the fetal position and hope damian went away. But he didn't as he also felt the need to give a good first impression to the Alpha.

However, when Damian grabbed and smelled Leo, fear showed on his face and in his eyes. It didn't go away until Damian dropped Leo back onto the bed. Only then did he speak, shakily at that.

"Y-yes, I-I'm p-pregnant," Leo said fearful and with his eyes downcast. "I-I was following orders from my uncle and shot Brayden's girlfriend by accident. I didn't mean to do it!! And now I'm here in this condition with my friend injured and barely alive and....and...," he had tried to hold back the tears throughout the entire explanation, but as he pictured Trevor in the room down the hall, his resolve broke down and allowed the tears to break free, "And it's all my fault for being such a wreckless, heartless bastard."

Damian stood back as Leo began to explain what happened among other things. He merely sighed as he looked at Brayden. "Friend?"

"Yea. In the other room. One of us got ahold to him. He's breathing though." He moved his head in the direction of the room in case Damian wanted to check.

"No need. It's apparent we know who they are. Hunters." He walked out the room quickly , the tail of his coat trailing off as he went to the other room. He came back and stared at Brayden. "We need to get him to the hospital immediately. Keeping him here may not be wise. It's bad enough they are going to be out for blood because of certain members getting full of themselves last night. Did you see the news?"

"A little" Brayden said, although he changed it quickly. There was no need to let Leo see any of it when he more than likely had his share of tragedies at the moment.

"The boy here needs to go back for now. It's not the wisest move, but imagine how more complicated it will be if he's caught right in the middle of this. Or...." he thought a wicked thought. "We could act as if he's a victim as well. That will get this strange case off our hands for the moment."

"What happens when he starts showing in a few days?"

"We'll work it out later. For now, this "hunter" needs to decide which option is best for him." None of the options were as good as they seemed to sound as Leo would have to be in a very convincing look to be in the hospital, even if some of the doctors, nurses, and other staff members were like them.

Leo did but he didn't listen to Damina and Brayden's conversation. He was too busy wallowing in self pity to pay attention. He did; however, gulp in fear when he heard that it would be his decision as to which option the werewolves decided to enact.

He tried to put as much distance between him and the werewolves (Damian especially as he gave Leo a bad vibe), but forgot that he was on Brayden's bed and fell off the edge.

"Damn it," he muttered to himself, rubbing the back of his head as he stood up. He looked to Brayden. "D-don't worry. I think your babies are okay...even though I have no way of knowing for sure. Well, at least not yet."
Reply

Brayden' s reflexes happened quickly as he caught Leo from falling on the floor mere inches. "Easy does it" he said simply as he examined the male a bit more. "We may not have to make it convincing. He's yet to turn and among other things, he's pregnant."

"I see..." Damian said simply. "He'll be sick enough as is to keep him on bed rest in the hospital. Very well. We must move with haste then before they truly suspect. Hunters know no rest. No doubt they are looking for the two of them now whereas many sleep in."

"You heard the man" Brayden simply said as he never let Leo go in the first place. "Off to the hospital, make you look sickly enough, and then contact the parents."

Leo looked at Brayden with nervousness and a little bit of fear in his eyes and etched in his face.

"But...but...I-I don't like hospitals," Leo finally said rather meekly and quiet with his head hung in defeat. "If you really want to get rid of me to prevent further repurcussions from my and Trevor's families, I guess we really don't have any choice but to go then."

He began slowly walking to the door, hoping Brayden or someone would bring Trevor along as well. There ain't no way in hell he'll be able to carry Trevor to the vehicle. He briefly stopped by Damian to say, "If my family kills me and in turn Brayden's kids, make sure--I don't know why I'm saying this because he wouldn't--make sure that he doesn't do anything stupid like trying to kill himself or whatever. However, if my family kicks me out of the house and into the cold, you will know because I will be back," before slowly continuing to the door where he paused for a moment as if he was going to say something else but changed his mind and kept going, slowly making his way to Brayden's truck occasionally wiping a tear from his eyes. Even though it was brief, he had begun to feel more at home here, with the werewolves, than he had with his own family. But if they didn't want him to be around because they're scared of what his family would do if he wouldn't return, that's fine by him. Sure they may take everything out on him when he got back (from the hospital), but he'll just cope with whatever they throw at him. Just like he has for the past...well, for his entire life it feels like.

Damian gave a smug expression. "Sure. Killing something almost immortal is very easy." He rolled his eyes a bit as he was being sarcastic his hand ushering Leo out the room. "Don't kill yourself" he said to Brayden before pulling his phone out to call an ambulance.

Brayden was the last of the three to head out after making sure the paramedics got Trevor out safely. He climbed in the truck, revving up the engine as he slowly pulled out the back. "I won't let nothing happen to you or him, alright?" The man was a bit nonchalant at the moment due to the fact that two nights ago his girlfriend died, he got stupid drunk the next day and in that same time, he managed to knock a human male -at least somewhat human as he has yet to change- who was just as confused about it as he was. That was not also mentioning the fact that he was the family memeber of their sworn enemies. He could not freak out over the endeavor however as that would entail a lot of objects flying across some kind of room.

The truck stopped at the nearby hospital, which was a few miles deep into the town. "Don't worry about this hospital. We can look after you both a lot more closely ."
Reply

Leo didn't hear anything that Damian said. He went ahead and climbed into the truck and waited there for Brayden. Whatever Brayden talked about on the ride to the hospital, Leo didn't listen. Didn't want to listen either. He just stared out the window with his forehead resting on the glass.

When they arrived at the hospital and found a parking spot, he didn't immediately get out of the truck. Instead, he turned back to look at Brayden...possibly for the last time until it came time to give birth.

"What do I tell the doctors and nurses?" Leo asked quietly, finally breaking his own personal silce. "That is, if they ask me what happened, what's wrong with Trevor, and what's wrong with me."

Brayden peered out the truck, seeing some men and women in white coats. "Like I said, you're in good hands." He hopped out the truck, heading in the direction of the women and men, namely a particular woman with a bob cut esque hairstyle.

"Mom!" Brayden said warmly as he hugged the woman, the female herself overturned with joy. He pulled the lady known as "Mom" over as well as a few others, explaining the current situation.

"Come on over here, Leo" the male said with some form of new joy. "These five here will be tending to you and your friend for now." They were escorted to the third floor of the seven story building.

"This is certainly the rarity" the blonde simply said as she led Leo and Brayden into a room. "But certainly not doable. We just need you to change into the robes on the bed, sedate you some, add a few cuts here and there to make you look wounded, and call your parents. Should be convincing, no?" A warm chuckle escaped her lips as the older woman looked really sincere with a motherly tone to her appearance. It was hard to tell if she was joking or being serious.

Leo sighed at Brayden's vague answer before opening the door, climbing out, and following Brayden to a group of people gathered near the hospital. Leo got yet another shocker as Brayden called the blonde woman that he waved to "mother." Apparently these, too, are werewolves.

Leo followed the woman (what else could he do? Run away? They'd easily catch up to him and drag him back) to the third floor barely listening to what she said. Something about sedating him to make him look wounded. Great, they really were going to go through with this. Leo's heart sank further.

Once they reached the room, Leo, without a word, immediately went to the bed and grabbed the robe laid out there. He then went to the attached bathroom where he took off the clothes he was currently wearing only to replace them with the hospital gown.

When changed, Leo exited the bathroom and handed the clothes he had been wearing to Brayden before climbing onto the bed in preparation for the sedative and what would follow.

As Brayden's mother prepared Leo for the sedative, he looked over to Brayden.

"See you in a month's time I guess," Leo said quietly as Brayden's mother injected Leo with the sedative. Leo soon found his eyelids becoming heavier by the minute as he tried to keep them open in order to memorize Brayden's face, hoping he won't forget him.

Leo quickly lost the battle and allowed the darkness to envelope him with Brayden's face--gruff as he is--floating in front of his eyes as the sedative went to work.

Brayden and the female watched Leo drift to sleep.

"He has it made up like I won't be here almost everyday" he said flatly before nearing him.

"Well you heard Damian, dear. We have to make an accident look real."

"I know" Brayden cleared his throat a little as they both prepared the unconscious male. He would wake up eventually feeling achy all over with wraps on his.body here and there.

"What should we do about both fevers running?"

"They have yet to happen. I estimate tomorrow at least. Should give him enough time to wake up later on, call the family, and secure him and his friend out of the ruling that they are dead." She escorted Brayden out the room, leaving the male to rest up.

Leo slept soundly and dreamlessly throughout the entire ordeal, not feeling let alone hear anything.

When he finally came to, it was dark out and he ached. He looked down at his body and saw his body wrapped in bandages before looking around the room. No one was there.

"Wonderful," Leo muttered before sighing and flopping his head back down on his thin and flimsy pillow with a wince. Apparently, they also made some "wounds" on his head as well.

Now the fun part: figuring out what to tell the nurses, doctors, and his family what happened without mentioning Brayden and his pack/family and having them in even deeper trouble with his family than they already are. Maybe Brayden will come back to help him with a cover story? Leo snorted. That's highly doubtful especially based on his reaction upon finding out he replaced Brayden's girlfriend.

Leo carefully placed a hand on his currently flat stomach. If he wasn't pregnant with Brayden's kids, he wouldn't mind if his family decided to kill him like he was their enemy like they thought the werewolves were. From what he experienced, werewolves aren't as bad as what they're portrayed in the books and movies. Well, Damian maybe the only one that kinda actually does fit the book and movie portrayal.

He sighed and stared at the ceiling. To his surprise, he could see the ceiling as if there was sunlight streaming through the window. He looked around his room. It was the same.

Leo smiled and laid back down with a painful wince. The change was already beginning. Albeit at a relatively slow pace.

The doctor walked back inside.

"Glad to see you are doing fine" she said moving closer to examine his wounds. It was imperative she did her job and checked in on him every now and then. "I think you'll find some joy in knowing your friend is recovering well, but he's yet to wake up."

She left by the bed, making her way over to a plant nearby as she watered it. "I also think that we have a proficient way of determining what happened to you both, though that was never an issue. After all, several more attacks and accidents happened last night. All we need you to do is give a number and we can go from there."

(Short post lol. How was your Christmas though?)

(My Christmas was good. Got a lot of cool stuff I wanted--mainly books and CDs. How was your's?)

Leo looked at the doctor who had just walked in the room in confusion. The good news: Trevor was alright. Granted he already knew that, but it was good to get confirmation from....human doctors. The bad news: Trevor still hasn't waken up. That and not to mention Trevor's pregnant...at least, according to Brayden Trevor is.

Leo cocked--well, tried to atleast. His "wounds" hurt too much to do it too far--his head to the side in confusion. There were other people that were attacked? Certainly, they weren't in the...situation he currently is in: pregnant with werewolf babies.

"N-number for what?" Leo asked the doctor once he found his voice. His heart began beating faster as well. If she meant Brayden's number, he didn't know it. But if she meant the number for one of his family members, that he knew by heart. Granted it was his mother's, but she's still part of his family.

(That's great. Mine was great as well. Relaxed a little with the family and went to the theater later on.)

"Oh, you're one of the lucky one's. You and your friend at least. They say some mountain lions. They caught some of them, but for some it was a little too late on."

She took the seat by Leo, pulling the phone off the desk. "The number to your parents. You look young at least and we have no I.D. on ya, so we need call someone for and for him" she slightly motioned over to the room across the hall.

Leo snorted at the doctor's explanation for their injuries. Like hell they were mountain lions. Of course, Leo wouldn't say what the actual creature was that caused their wounds as doing so would cause Brayden, his pack, and his family to be hunted by every person in the community. He couldn't do that to them especially since they have to put up with his and Trevor's families hunting them pretty much all the time.

Leo looked at the doctor when she sat in the chair next to his bed. His family's number? That was a sigh of relief as he had that memorized. He gave the doctor his mother's number and told the doctor that his family will be able to pick up Trevor and take him home with them. As he said that, he looked where the doctor pointed and made plans to go visit Trevor once the doctor had left his room. He had to see how Trevor was doing for himself. If Trevor died....no. Leo shook that thought out of his head, not wanting to even think about Trevor possibly dying.

Speaking of which, the doctor had said that they were lucky. Did that mean other people were attacked as well? If that was the case, then that meant that there was another werewolf pack nearby. Possibly waiting for when he's away from Brayden's protection. Leo gulped nervously. But if there were no other werewolf packs in the area, then that meant Everyone else in Brayden's pack--Damian and the others--had attacked other people the same night he and Brayden mated. That thought made his heart ache with guilt.

Leo sighed and shifted himself on the bed to try to get more comfortable, which was nearly impossible because the bed was a hospital bed and they weren't the most comfortable beds in the world.

Once the doctor hung up the phone, Leo asked her the only question on his mind, "How's Trevor, my friend across the hall, doing? Will he be alright?" Leo asked, concern for Trevor evident on his face and in his voice.

The female dialed the given number.

"Hello?" She smiled. "Have I reached Mrs. Gatherly?" The sound of another voice was heard on the other side of the line. "Well, this is the Eastfront Baptist Hospital. We have your son as well as his friend in the hospital." The conversation concluded minutes after as she explained the severity of the problem, a few "mhm's" here and there, and the eventual announcement of the room number. She hung the phone up as she smiled at Leo. "They will be on there way shortly."

She rose from the chair, looking across the hall. "Your friend is well. Much better than when he came in. The issue is that he's still out of it. He's not comatose; more than likely the meds he's on." She walked towards.the door, heading out after wishing the male a great recovery.

Across in Trevor's room, the male breathed softly in his sleep as a hand brushed against his face, trailing off as the figure left the room.

Leo's heart beat faster when the doctor said that his family will be here, at the hospital, soon. How would they react when they saw him? Would they accept him back when they found/figured out what happened? What would happen if they didn't accept him back?

When the doctor said that Trevor was going to be fine and that he was better than when he had arrived, Leo relaxed a little. That was one guilt trip he really didn't want to go on if Trevor had died.

He laid there quietly as the doctor left. When he was sure that the doctor wouldn't immediately return, Leo slowly and carefully (not to mention painfully) climbed out of the bed and began to make his way to the door in order to go check on Trevor himself. He poked his head out of the door and looked around the hallway before spotting Trevor's room. As he was making his way to Trevor's room, Leo accidentally bumped into someone causing the "wounds" on his side to ache slightly.

"Watch where you're going bud," Leo grumbled and went to continue making his way to Trevor's room, but was stopped by a hand on his shoulder.

((I have got to stop jinxing myself when I message you and tell you that I'm able to RP again >_<. Has summer started for you?))

The figure on brushed past the male roughly after resting a hand on Leo's shoulders to catch both of them from falling. Leaving just his back for the male, the nurse simply turned down the corridor.

"...humans..." it was the only loud word to be heard from the figure's low growling, a heavy hit to the wall following soon after.

Trevor turned restlessly in the bed, his mind plagued with dreams of the previous night. He grumbled out Leo's name a bit.

(EEK!! You're back!! YAY!! :D LOL My last final is on Friday. After that, it is summer for me. And hopefully I'll have a summer job to go along with it too. Wait and see I guess.)

Leo glared in the direction of the person who bumped into him, well, at his back at least. He then shook his head.

"He could have at least said sorry, stupid prick," Leo muttered to himself as he limped into Trevor's room. He heard Trevor grumble out his name and limped over to his bedside as fast as he could.

"It's alright Trevor," Leo said trying to comfort Trevor through whatever dreams he was having. "I'm right here bud. Like I always am."

((lol yea. Hopefully everything goes well for you on both ends. I was able to finish last week and got an intern for an indie film. Can't wait to see how that goes.))

Trevor's body twitched slightly at the sound of Leo's voice. His head turned slightly in his direction, his bandaged fingers twitching every now and then as he relived the incident all over again, attempting to crawl away in the snow only to be dragged back by some large unsightly beast. It smelled Leo's clothes hysterically before turning to look at him, it's nose deeply inhaling his shirt and hands before using its nails to tear them off.

"...have to warn..." his eyes opened slowly before he blacked out again. This time, his body was covered in cuts and the sound of an argument being heard around him from how he was just a sack of meat to a mark on his neck. Trevor tried to reach for his lower neck, only for his arms to drag around lazily, the medications in his body numbing him and the pain. His hand fell flatly as he rested again.

Now he was begging to the voices to spare him. One of them, a male, expressed sympathy, but dropped him in a pile of cold right while the sun was on the verge of rising. As he struggled to move on the cold ground towards the only source of heat, he literally sprung up from his sleep in a state of panic, his heart racing as he looked around in fear; fear of if he had escaped at all.
