Season of the Hunt (Closed with star478, Possibly NSFW)

Leo nervously gulped a bit at the idea. It was a good plan but....he really never brought home a girfriend let alone a boyfriend. How his family would react to that, he really didn't want to find out. As for the items around the cabins, how was he supposed to know? As far as he could tell, he and Trevor were only in the training stages of being Hunters and trainees aren't told all of the secrets of the Hunters until later. Well, according to Leo that is since they couldn't get a straight answer on that bullet case they had found before all this happened.

"My love life has been practically non-existant, Brayden," Leo said with a sigh. "I've never really had any girlfriend let alone a boyfriend, so I have no idea how my family would react. They'd be expecting a girlfriend so....they may not be too terribly happy with me bringing home a boyfriend."

Not that they're already 100% happy with me already, Leo thought to himself.

He then continued, "It sounds like a really, really good idea though, so I can work with it if you're willing. Especially after what I did to your fiance.

"As for stuff around the cabins to ward off werewolves, there might be something, but I wouldn't be able to tell you for sure. My family haven't been 100% completely honest with me and Trevor. I mean, my Uncle told me I had shot a deer. He even brought back a deer carcass, but, as you know, he was wrong. After what happened, how can I trust them anymore?"

The talk about werewolf warding items brought a major concern to the forefront of Leo's mind causing him to place a hand on his belly with his hospital gown in between.

"If there are anything that wards off werewolves around the cabins, will it affect me and the babies any?" Leo asked in concern, his motherly instincts already beginning to kick in.

Brayden stared at Leo a bit. Could he actually go through with such an event? It made him a bit sick to the gut to be frank. There was his fiancee's actual murderer, the one he got drunk the previous night over. He wanted to hurt him so bad yet he could not bring himself to do it. He was younger than him, naive in some aspects and above all, not the real culprit. That lied in his uncle alone.

The other issue was could he bear it? It would be like starting over again. The difference was in him having to get used to those adjustments fast. Leo was pregnant and walking into enemy territory. There was no way he was allowing him to go alone.

"I don't blame you" his hands rested firmly on Leo's shoulders. "I mean the entire incident has me enraged, but not against you. You were...just a pawn..."

The word was hard for him to use, but it was the truth. Leo, his cousins and his friend were merely used.

"Your friend!" The thought had slipped his mind entirely. "Humans are the most flexible in terms of mating. You don't think he's..." he shook his head from the thought in midsentence. "He can't be. Otherwise those wounds of his would be completely healed.

"It shouldn't harm any of you all that quickly. Hopefully not."

A since of doubt plagued his mind as he looked a bit worried. He had never done something like sneaking into a hunter's home before. Perhaps Damian could help in the situation.

"Yeah, a pawn to be used for the destruction of your kind for no obvious reason," Leo said bitterly as it pretty much referred to his own destruction now. Along with the babies he's carrying. He then sighed and rubbed the back of his head with his hand. "Look, if you don't feel comfortable actually entering the cabins, you don't have to. I won't make you do something you don't feel comfortable in doing. Same with a relationship between the two of us. The only relationship I really care about is the mother-father relationship we have with the babies. Granted, I wasn't exactly in control of my own body when you impregnated me, so I really can't hold anything against you for doing what your wolf wanted you to do. But I'll be honest, I really didn't want this to happen. I just wanted a nice, relaxing little family vacation. But no. My family decided to hold a grudge against your kind for whatever reason and hunt you...."

Leo stopped in his little rant and placed a hand on the bed as he started to get light-headed.

"Damn it," Leo said as the room started to spin slower and slower. "Why the hell did I get light-headed? Fuck..."
Reply

"No" Brayden merely objected to the idea of not going. "Those are mine just as well as they are yours and sending you in there without some kind of control is just as worse."

The need to protect not just Leo, but the kids as well were intensely growing. "I know it wasn't something you wanted. It's not something I want either, but we're mates now and there's no solving that. Even if we went our separate ways and agreed to those terms, it would be you seeking me out every season."

When Leo started to feel loopy, the male seemingly staggering around, Brayden moved his hands from Leo's shoulders, one now resting on his forehead.

"Shit...You're burning up. The cycle's beginning already." Sparing no time, he hefted the male up, bringing him to the bed. If he was sick like this already, there was no way he'd be able to get out the hospital soon.

"Just take it easy. Everything is starting. I'll get the nurse for help."

He bit his lower lip a bit, uncertain if he should leave him there alone. He pressed the call button nearby, sitting in the chair beside Leo as he merely rubbed the boy's hand.

Leo groaned at Brayden's response, knowing pretty well exactly what he was talking about.......and in protest to be being laid down as he was.

"You're probably right," Leo mumbled unable to really say anything else over the dizziness he was feeling. "What cycle is beginning? What's starting? Does the room feel like it's spinning to you?"

Leo probably knew what Brayden was talking about, but the dizziness made it difficult for Leo to remember. He opened his eyes a crack only to quickly close them as not only the dizziness intensefied, but the lights of the room hurt his eyes a bit.

Brayden merely watched. It was all he could really do at that point until the nurse arrived.

"The transitioning cycle. You probably won't experience the start of the trimesters until in the morning." Knowing his luck, he could probably be wrong about that as well. The door shot open as the same doctor from before came in. The one Brayden simply referred to as Mom. He rose from the chair, merely whispering in her ear.

"Alright. Get the windows open. Some cold air should do him some good later."

She neared the sink, washing her hands off and opening a cabinet. After wetting a towel, she neared Leo, placing it on his head.

"Relax dear. You'll be out of it in a few."

Rubbing alcohol over his exposed arm, she quickly jabbed the syringe in her pocket into the vein. Leo would soon feel feint and then slip into unconsciousness thereafter. Her voice was blurry as she talked to Brayden.

Leo groans again at Brayden's words.

"Wonderful," Leo said right as the doctor entered the room. He heard what she said, but couldn't completely comprehend what she had said. That is until he felt a little prick in his arm. He jerked his arm away from the doctor, but it was too late. She had already injected him with whatever was in the syringe.

Eventually, the doctor's and Brayden's voices becam muffled, almost like he was under water and they were on the surface. Soon after, the dizziness finally stopped as he fell into the darkness of unconsciousness.

Brayden followed the Doctor's orders, opening the window to let a cold breeze run in. He watched as she left out, returning shortly afterwards with latex gloves filled up with ice.

"It's imperative we keep him at a balanced temperature" she placed one on his forehead. Another was put near his feet after she wet a towel. "He's going through the shift. It wouldn't be a problem if he wasn't pregnant either. He has to run it out his system. Some soup should do him some good for now." There was not much for her to do. What happened next relied on Brayden and Leo. Brayden in being the mate the boy needed and Leo being strong enough to handle both cycles.

"I take me leave now. The room is being put to Quiet Hours for now."

Brayden merely nodded as she closed the door. Brayden rose up, locking the door behind him. Trevor was too wounded to bother coming in and anyone could give Leo's parents a viable reason on why they could not see him fully yet. Brayden sat back beside Leo, wondering what was going through his mind as he waited a bit.

(Short post. I lost the original unfortunately lol)

(Eh, shit happens. I also lost the original. I was going to post before going to bed....but one of the mechanisms inside my computer that allows me to access the internet decided to stop responding and thus kicked me off the internet (even though my computer showed that it was connected to the internet--don't ask. I had this problem before only it lasted longer and has occurred off and on since. Very annoying. But at least I somewhat remember what I was going to post.

Leo was completely unaware of what Brayden and the doctor was doing thanks to the sedatve.

The only thing Leo was aware of was the shifting images he saw floating around in his unconscious mind. Wolves mating. Wolves running through the forest. But these weren't just any ordinary wolves. These were werewolves. Leo saw his...packmates? gathered in a cave celebrating a good hunt. Him and Brayden meeting with the Hunters, Leo's family. with a good amount of space in between them. Not to mention being chased by the Hunters during Hunting Season. Leo also saw himself pregnant with another litter of babies while his first (the ones he's currently carrying) litter of babies are running around and playing like typical babies despite being werewolves themself.

Meanwhile, unknown to Leo since he's unconscious, he begins panting heavily while unconscious as whatever is happening begins taking place.

( That sucks. That happens to me from time to time, leaving me to post on the phone v.v Even then, I have to manage with the possible chance that it may overload and then close out, prompting me to start anew. How has the summer been so far?.)

Brayden sat down for hours in until the sun began to set. Leaving Leo for a few, he rose from the chair, closing the door behind hin as he scanned the hospital wing. His blue eyes then focused on Trevor's room. With his luck, hopefully the boy was heavily sedated or simply out cold. He did not want to risk spooking the young male, even if Leo passed it off as some dream. He had an investigation he simply could not pass up at the moment. His hand rested on the door's handles before a thought came to mind. He needed to change clothes. With that in mind, he proceeded for the Storage Room full of scrubs instead.

Clad in dark blue colors, complete with the loafers and nametag of someone named Connor Hicks, he opened the patient's door at last. He closed the door behind him, moving closer towards the sleeping male. He flicked the small lights on. With a better glance at his wounds, a long nail traced across some of the wrappings.

"I only need to see a few..." he said to himself silently. Peeling the wrap off slightly, he found himself looking at a few gashes around the chest and neck. "Nothing so far...wait..." he leaned in closer towards Trevor's neck. One of the small cuts there could be easily passed off to normal eyes as.just a wound, but a dark mark near thr edge of it told a different story for this werewolf. "You were imprinted. I can see why they'd go through all the trouble in trying to eliminate you. All that remains is who?"

Trevor's wounds were not enough to kill him, at least not right away. He.could only guess the blow to his head, evidenced by it being wrapped up, was meant to knock him out, giving him no real opportunity to cry for help as he got attacked. Some of the others cuts were from the night before. Feeling his suspicions were satiated, Brayden began to dress the wounds with fresh wraps from the drawer, hefting gloves on in case he was caught in the act. As luck would have it, the door indeed came opening from behind. Turning to see who it was, Brayden was face-to-face-to-face with Leo's parents.

"Oh hi..." he merely whispered as he applied the last patch on, placing the bloody fabrics on a small tray nearby. "I was just redressing everything." Nodding to them for a few, he left out with the tray to discard both somewhere else. With them being back and his disguise as a nurse, he simply would have to wait on the Doctor to return to run them off fully. Until then, he hoped Leo would be alright. With a full moon drawing, things were likely to get bad...soon.

(Ah. I see. It gets annoying after a while too, doesn't it? My summer's been going well. Boring but well. I did get a job though so that's a plus. I thought I had already repled to this. Guess I was wrong. >_< Sometimes I hate my memory...or lack thereof.)

Leo continued dreaming wolf-related dreams while still being sedated during the changes. More than likely by the time he wakes up, he won't remember any of the dreams he's been having.

Meanwhile, Leo's real body continued panting as his belly began rounding out into a small and not very noticeable bump as the babies inside begin to grow and develop.

(Couldn't think of anything else to put. >_< Don't want Leo waking up too soon and all that.)

((Lol yea. You did partially XD. I asked when the summer "vacation" was beginning
I probably asked later on, but don't recall as well >÷<))

Brayden stood outside, making himself look important as he moved a few carts, brought in a few dinners for other patients and checking information on their walls. He knew his way in and out a hospital more so than his "job" at a café. All while running errands, he could hear the female doctor talking to Leo's parents. She informed them that he was running a fever after all and recently passed out. While they would allow visitation, it would be on hold until the morning. The male felt somewhat relieved. He could hope they left in time before the second cycle of the season began. They may have hunted his kind, but Brayden was not a person keen on harming them. The ginger haired male though was a.different story. Brayden entered Leo's room once more after they were leaving. He rubbed his forehead a bit as he slept, hoping he was a bit better by in the morning.

(It's good lol)

(Eh, shit happens XD )

Leo moaned in his sleep as Brayden rubbed his forehead. His eyes eyes fluttered a bit, but did not open. He continued to dream his wolf dreams and occasionally wimpered a bit at certain points in his dream.

This continued for pretty much the rest of the night with Leo dreaming wolf dreams and occasionally making noises in the real world. Come morning, Leo's dreams finally ended along with the effects of the sedative. Leo slowly opened his eyes to a bright, sun lit room and immediately closed them with a hiss due to the brightness.

Brayden sat at the chair through the night. As it progressed, another snow storm came. Even with it, he could hear them. The faint howls everywhere. They were so powerful, they were urging a change into Brayden, his eyes turning yellow. He got up, desperate to find a way to cover his ears. The cabinets and drawers were flipped around until he found the cotton swabs. Relief came when the sounds were dampened by them. He took to the couch once more, resting his legs. In a few minutes, he drifted off to sleep.

His dream consisted of him and Leo. The young man's belly had blossomed out. It was dark actually. Brayden was relaxing him, rubbing the womb that seemed to be trickled with sweat. It seemed Leo was in labor, but the dream was cut by someone kicking a door in. He awoke hours later when the sun was up. He yawned some, his blue eyes glancing over at Leo, who seemed to be asleep still. That was until he noticed he was moving around and attempting to cover his eyes. Brayden looked at the blinds and covered them instantly, forgetting the windows were left open.

"You're awake" he smiled a bit.

Leo froze, a little confused and a little frightened, upon hearing Brayden's voice. When Leo registered that it was just Brayden, he relaxed and smiled a bit.

"Y-yeah, I guess," Leo said with a slight red-ish tinge appearing on his cheeks as he remembered--slightly--last night's dreams. Leo then lifted the blanket that came with his hospital bed to look at his belly and saw that it had swollen a little bit bigger. That was when his stomach gave a soft grumble, alerting him to his hunger.

"Can I get some food?" Leo asked as he replaced the blanket. "I'm a bit hungry."

(How was the 4th?)

Brayden merely nodded as he left to get Leo some food. His blue eyes caught site to the male examining his belly, revealing a small bump. A sudden rush of excitement stirred inside him as he reached the cart of food. It was easy to spot Leo's as.it was the morning and he was the only one to have some form of soup as Brayden was told to do. He stepped back inside.

"Here you go" he said as he brought the table over setting everything up for him. "So how're we feeling?"

(It was okay. Doesn't help that my computer decided to go all caflewy on me. Basically, it shuts off on its own without me telling it to shut off. The mount of time it remains on varies from 5 minutes to an hour depending on how long I let it sit. I'm taking it to a local repair place today (after typing this) to have the person/people there have a look at it and see what's wrong and if there's anything they can do to fix it (and how much it would cost me too). So yeah. Lots of fun.)

Leo smiled at Brayden as he accepted the food that was brought him.

"Thanks," Leo said and took a spoonful of the soup into his mouth. "I'm okay I guess. Just woke up to a new swell to my belly."

Leo gave a small smile and placed a hand on his belly as he ate the soup.

"The babies must be developing well then I take it?"
Reply

Brayden resumed sitting back down a bit before Leo mentioned a new smell. It was possible the male had never caught on to the scent as he did, though there was certainly a different aroma airing from his direction. As he ate, Brayden's blue eyes glanced towards the covers until Leo mentioned on if they were developing well.

"I've no idea at this moment" he rose from his chair, lifting the covers slightly "But I'm more than welcome to take a look at the moment before the Doctor probably comes in." When the blanket was lifted, he could see the small but otherwise noticeable bump against the fabric of the gown. He rested a hand on it slightly. "They seem alright for now, though I'd be a bit more concerned with you at the moment since you almost passed out the other day."

"Yeah," Leo said with a sigh. He went to get another spoonful of soup, but nothing came up. He looked down at his empty bowl, blinking.

"I must have been hungrier than I thought," Leo said with a small, forced chuckle. "Is there a way I can get more? I'm still hungry. And could I get something more than just soup? Like a hamburger or something?"
Reply

Brayden chuckled. "Of course. It was Doctor's orders though. Probably because you had that fever." He walked out the room, getting ready to look around for a burger when the thought crossed him that it was morning time. Maybe he could find him some sausage or something. He looked up at the trays and stared at who was assigned what to eat. He chuckled when he read Trevor's apparent request.

"And you are the lucky winner for....grits and eggs with apple juice..." he changed the trays out once more while the person serving everything was in another room. "He probably could handle that more than what he was trying to get with this." He sniffed the lid over the plate, smelling bacon and some other form of meat. He walked back inside and handed Leo the plate. "Maybe that would curve it some. You need anything else to drink?"
