"Do you know when we'll be able to find out what the sex of the baby is?" Lucy asked with wide eyes.
"Well, we generally perform an ultrasound at around ten to twelve weeks to determine that. I should say, that's the earliest we can tell. There's a chance the baby will be a little modest and we won't be able to tell," the doctor laughed.
"Oh...so we've got a while then. That's okay. Thank you, Dr. Owens."
"It's my pleasure ma'am. And I'll be seeing the both of you in about six weeks, then. You can schedule the appointment with the receptionist out front." And with that the doctor said his goodbyes and left to see another patient.
