"Not a deer?" Brad chuckled as he rose from his crouching position. "Fires a gun for the first time and all of a sudden he's some big ol' expert" the words trailed with him as he vanished from sight again. Only a scope could probably make him out.
"Not a deer huh" his voice strained as the man dragged the body that Leo shot. The bullet was in the back near it's head, the body still twitching as blood poured on the brown fur. "Looks like a deer to me" he dropped the large body down, the antlers almost snapping. Within an instant, several howls were heard.
"Well hate to spoil the night, but those things have an adavantage out in the snow especially at night. Help me get this into the basement" he could think of a nice dinner coming from the creature. With that, Trevor and Claude helped him with the dead animal.
------------------------
They had spent minutes chasing after the man, but he was very difficult in the snow. His scent seemed to be everywhere and his clothes, even with eyes like theirs, were difficult to spot. The sound of silenced shots hit his ears on several occasions as Brayden and his friends looked around. In that timeframe, a large shot went off followed by a whimper. Brayden stopped in his tracks, turning the opposite direction as he ran on all fours. His eyes were graced with a gruesome sight. Lynette layed in the snow by a tree, her naked form motionless with a bullet in her spine, smoke sizzling from the wound. Before he could move, the same man appeared, hefting up a deer in the almost exact position as Lynette. The bullet even matched the same spot. When he vanished, his yellow eyes were fixed on the group he could see prefectly clear in the night. His snout flared as he howled I'm anger. When the group left, the towering monster began to shrink until Brayden stood in its place, naked. Not wasting time, he quickly hefted up Lynette's body as the others followed him back to the cave miles away.
