Aries had to wonder if maybe his peers had presumed him to be dead. Surely they would've come looking for him by now, but it was so common to lose lives during the battles that he knew it wouldn't be beyond the other angels to think that Aries had been an unlucky victim of war. He wished he could tell them otherwise, give some kind of clue as to him being alive and well - or as well as he could be during all of this - but he had to settle to being confined to the little laboratory space for now even though he hated it. The minute this was over and done with he swore that he'd be getting out of here.

When the door to the room opened and Vapula came in, asking him how he was, Aries swallowed hard, biting back the urge to curse at him. The demon was nice, he'd give him that, but Aries still didn't want to be anyone's lab rat. Aries sat up a bit straighter, grimacing as he set either hand on the side of his shifting belly. He wanted to get out of bed but the trouble sometimes wasn't worth it. "Terrible," he said honestly, panting hard as he struggled to move into a more comfortable position. "I need to get up and move."
