(Haha, gotcha.)
Oh, how he wished that he didn’t step out. It was a good thing that backup was called for, but would that even matter in the long run? What his dark brown eyes had gotten the chance to witness was something horrific. Well, he actually couldn’t quite place his hand on the thought about how to actually feel because if this was on a less hostile situation, the sight of seeing something that bizarre might have been fascinating. What it had become however was a situation in which they had to fend for their lives. This seemed to ring home for the Afro-Hispanic male when one of those froggish figures merely stated they wouldn’t mind a few more. If they were responsible for this missing woman, he certainly was not trying to have a visit of the fourth kind...or was it fifth? He let his gun decide.
As him and Antonio learned, nothing worked. Those bullets seemingly bounced off. In his case, with one of the creatures that bore a teal, orange and black like skin, it just merely made contact with presumably his skin. The bullets stood within the skin for a bit before falling down with no visible damage at all. Was there some kind of advanced shielding or was their skin just that superior against “archaic” weapons? He turned to look at Antonio, D’Anton backing away slowly as those eerily menacing figures drew near.
“Nah, it’s okay,” he tried to assure Antonio. “At the very least, we tried to fend them off. We just need to get back and warn them. Sides, our guns aren’t exactly working against them.”
Who would even believe them though? Their rookie? It was quite clear that in this instance if guns weren’t working, the only option was to run. He had seen enough horror movies to know that probably would only get them far, especially out in the cold, at night and within a corn field. Maybe these aliens could get lost as well.
“Let’s hair run for it,” he said, not sparing time to dart back inside.
