(You're totally fine. That was merely done to help break some of the ice about the beginning of the thread lol)
Maor shrugged. "Someone is watching us. Don't worry though. If everything goes bad, we can run for it and if it gets worse than that, I'll keep us safe."
Maor wasn't sure what to think of the gate opening, but he clutched his silver crucifix for a form of hope. There's no way someone would do something twisted to them after all, right?
"Maybe if we just explain what happened," he said with a slight dropped jaw in awe at the size of the large mansion. "They'll try to help us out as much as possible."
Seeing all the eerie statues out among the front yard and hearing the water flow from the fountain certainly made him feel a bit tense, but as he walked up the steps and knocked on the large door, he noticed the gates behind them were now closed. The door opened and before them stood a female, short and chubby in stature and dressed in a maid outfit.
"Good evening," she stated. "Come in. It's awfully cold out there!"
Maor looked at Ethan a bit before gesturing for the shorter male to head inside before him, Maor thinking that may be more safe before walking inside.
"Thank you so much," he stated to the maid. "We got a bit lost out from our cabin and was just looking either to get pointed in the right direction."
"Nonsense," she cutted him off. "We can point you in the right direction come dawn. I'm sure our tenants wouldn't mind you staying here for the night. In fact, they may enjoy the company. My name is Elaine by the way."
Naturally, Maor gave his, following the short maid as she led them inside the warm candle lit mansion which bore the aroma of scented candles and perhaps something akin to a meal being prepared.
