Adam had no intent of checking in on Ethan right away. Despite how Camilla might have thought and felt about him, he did something more humane than being brutally honest. If she really wanted him to rattle some cages though, then perhaps they should look at their graveyard. To have more than Carl was truly an honor.
“Very well,” he stated towards Camilla while writing in a journal among the library. “Keep him...them...well...”
Despite his nonchalance, he did care. And then, there was Carl.
“Yea,” Maor said when looking at the new room they were placed in. “Looks like we were.”
The room looked more expansive than the one he was in the night before. As he looked closer, he noticed only one bed, which probably was big enlighten to let Maor and Ethan sleep on together. Despite the fact that Maor should feel a bit of normal, he didn’t. His heart and body still felt the eerie chill that things were not okay. Seventeen and Twenty-Five? Yea, their lives were ruined. He walked towards the window to look outside. They were certainly high up somewhere in the mansion from the looks of it as he saw gardens down below them and various steps the led to other parts of the mansion and if he looked further, there was the vineyard Adam spoke of. Naturally, now Maor got what that man meant when he said he would love to show them the vineyard today when the sun was bright...Ugh, how did Maor not catch on to that lie right away?
Despite how he felt though, there was one thing he couldn’t escape from. His stomach growled really loudly and he as a result, looked down. As much as he hated the thought, starving himself and all these body invaders was probably agonizing and therefore he needed to eat.
“Why so many,” he wondered aloud as he neared the table full of food and beverages. “We (humans) struggle to even have one and all it takes for them is just to but once...”
