Aryin woke up the next morning feeling tired still, his entire body ached - but it was a good ache. He looked to the other side of the bed he was sleeping in - it was empty and cold. Aryin was mildly upset at not waking up in Larry's arms and wished that the other man had stayed with him, but he also understood that it would be a disadvantage for Larry to have been found sleeping in his childhood bedroom, naked and with another man - especially if that man was Aryin.

So, with a shower and a quick hello to both his sister and father, Aryin left the San Fran villa - he did not see Larry at all as he ventured downstairs though, and figured that the man was off doing... other things. He was upset, naturally. Yet another potential boyfriend, ruined either by the fact that he was a cop... Or there just was something that was not there for them - Aryin's depressed stupor worsened at the thought and he went back to his apartment, feeling just a little less attractive and a lot more ready to just end his life the way he had planned to do a few months ago - even though things always seemed to get in the way of doing that.

A few weeks later:

Aryin was lying in his bed, curled up around his stomach - it had been a rough few weeks, he was more depressed than ever and he did not know how to retract his brain from the depression he did feel. Not only that, but he had come down with some sort of flu or virus; constantly throwing up and tired, aching everywhere. He had taken the week off just to nurse himself back to health, but none of it seemed to be working.

Aryin had also tried contacting Larry - having gotten the young man's number from his ever faithful sister. There was not a peep from Larry in any form. He had tried asking if something had gone wrong with the night they spent together, tried asking to meet for coffee away from the police station and his father's villa, and had even given Larry his apartment address, asking him to come by when he had a chance - none of the text messages had been answered though, only worsening how he felt both mentally and physically.
