Aryin was sick and tired, literally and not so literally. He was tired of staring at his bedroom wall, and sick of being cooped up inside of his penthouse suite... He just didn't feel like going anywhere, but he had to get out of the building; thinking perhaps some fresh air would do him some good. Aryin fumbled on a pair of sweats and a long sweatshirt... He looked absolutely terrible, he had been losing weight like crazy and his hair was getting long and unruly, on not only the top of his head but his face as well.

He looked nothing like he did four weeks ago, the last time he experienced even a modicum of happiness... If only for a little while. Aryin wanted to just crawl back into bed and go back to sleep, but the apartment and he needed a break from one another. Aryin grabbed his keys, wallet, and despite the homeless look he was now sporting, he also grabbed his long leather jacket - he was also always cold now, it seemed. He thought he was dying, and silently... Well, he welcomed death, would embrace it should it come for him.

Aryin stepped out of his apartment, which happened to be on the twentieth floor and right in front of the elevator doors. He and one other man lived on this floor, an associate of his fathers, Mr. Romano. They were friendly with each other, since Mr. Romano was not technically a mafia man. In fact, he was a very highly acclaimed businessmen, he owned a lot of the storefronts that the Ancelotti's operated as legal fronts for their illegal activities. He also owned this very building, which is how Aryin was able to afford living in such an expensive place -- Sure the floors below were cheaper, but there was also less security the further down you went; the only way to gain access to the twentieth floor was if you knew the two tenants who lived there or if you had a security code.

His living arrangement was simple, really. He paid his rent on time, which was bare minimum payment at best for such a luxurious spot. But his home was a content of discussion many of times through his career as an officer, especially with the guys in Internal Affairs, they loved snooping around in his financials - simply because of who his father was. But they never found anything remotely worth looking into when it came to Aryin and had to drop their cases against him, more often than not - Of course, he had a trust fund from his mother's passing, he barely dipped into it unless things were tight - they seldom were since he didn't own a vehicle outright, he borrowed his father's SUV, since his father had plenty enough cars to go around, and Mr. Romano made sure to cover all of his other expenses like electricity and running water - He was spoiled, he knew that, and it didn't make him feel good, but he never did look a gift horse in the mouth.

Aryin stood now, in front of the elevator, waiting for it to make it's slow ascent up to his floor - that was the one thing he wished he could change, the elevator speed... Especially now as his stomach continued doing flips back and forth. He leaned against the cool marble facade of the wall, waiting to hear the 'bing' that signified the Elevator's arrival.
