Carter finally acknowledged Hector's text at about noon-time, saying that he had slept perfectly and that he was absolutely okay. Sore in places he had never been sore in before and still a bit tired from their activities, but good.

The next few days Carter was busy, and could hardly break away from the school. He felt bad and was constantly texting Hector to tell him what he was up to or what was going on for the day. It felt like his heart was being stomped on, the longer he was away from Hector - although they were not officially bonded to one another yet, by the means of their heritage... The night they spent together was much more of a bond than any marriage could give them.

It wasn't until a week or so later that Carter was finally freed from classes. Only because he had started feeling quite ill, having to run out of one of his most important studies to throw up in the bathroom; almost not making it in fact. He texted Hector "Really sick it seems... Could use some comfort" he barely had the text sent before he was passed out in his bed.
