Background:  Valaria, a bustling merchant city of wealth out among the hills, valleys and rivers not too far from the Northern Kingdom. While there are no exact royals among the area, the Vermillion name suffices all the same. Wealth amassed the name from traders, bankers, and even warriors. As it currently stands, there are twelve heirs to the name, with two more on the way to male fourteen. Once these heirs reach a certain age, in order to receive inheritance, they must complete a task their parent set out for them. It just so happened that in this particular case, for the Third and Fifth eldest, an opportunity from the Northern Kingdom might have just arrived.

Mathias "Mattie" Vermillion, fifth eldest of the Vermillion family, alongside his brother were given this task to head out to the Northern Kingdom, and while he wasn't the strongest or biggest of the brothers at only twenty years old; he always did what his parents asked of him.  This time was no different.  Mattie was only five foot and seven inches (5'7") tall, making him one of the shortest out of all his siblings - except the younger kids and his sisters who were either his height or shorter. 

His body was built to carry; with wide hips and curved features.  He had beautiful green eyes, short black hair that he was able to tie up into a pony tail - he was definitely 'made' to carry children, and was actually excited about one day having a family.  He had tan skin that spoke of his Middle Eastern routes and spoke with an accent that could soothe any beast.  He was a beautiful man, and anxious to start life outside of his family home; the two brothers would finally have freedoms, and not have to sleep on top of each other and the rest of their siblings.
