Martina was looking at the monitor, which started to write down the first waves of Nick's first contraction. She slowly nodded. "Oh yes, that's a contraction", she said and smiled, looking at her watch to take the time.
After about 25 seconds, the contraction faded and she could see Nick relaxing. "Alright.......you did quite well", she said and smiled. Then she went next to Nick again. "Okay, I would like to do a little rectal exam now, just to check if there is already a little dilation", she said and smiled.
