KAle smiled softly as he cuddled into Shinjo's sleeping form before he looked down at his own belly. 'To think things like this are still possible...now i'm wondering if any other deities are as real as Shinjo is... who knows, maybe there's a god after all.' He thought to himself before yawning and closing his eyes, and falling asleep, ready for the next few months to come.

Shinjo smiled as he slept peacefully though the night for once without feeling a sense of loneliness in his dreams. When he woke up the next morning at dawn, he was so comfortable. He almost didn't want to leave his warmed bed or the cute male he had claimed at his new mate. He purred and stroked the male's face gently with his finger tips so he wouldn't wake him.

Kale slept the night away, dreaming of the pups to eventualy come from their copulation, what would they look like? would the be foxes, rabbits, or hybrids? What type of people would they grow up to be...other than forest guardians of course...As his face was stroked gently he hummed in his sleep, not being one to wake up early.

Shinjo smiled at the sight of his new mate dreaming and slipped under the covers to kiss his belly gently. Before leaving a fresh breakfast for him and along with a note. That read: Please forgive me my beautiful mate. I had to leave your side to perform my duties for the day and patrol the forests to care for them. But I shall return to your side late in the afternoon.

A few hours after Shinjo left, Kale awoke, yawning and stretching with his eyes closed. When he felt no warmth from shinjo, he thought it had all been some crazy dream, he was probably in his sleeping bag in a tent in the woods, and he would stay there for a coupe of days with his nature enthusiast buddies for a few days, and head back home to the city, where he would continue school. But as he opened his eyes he sighed as he was in Shinjo's...or their, in this case, sleeping chambers. He looked around and couldn't see Him anywhere, until he saw the breakfast and the note. He smiled softly at the note Shinjo left for him before he looked at the breakfast he left. A small collection of fruits and berries with a bit of bread to the side. Kale blushed a bit as his stomach growled ravenously, showing how hungry he was. "Well...i guess i'm eating for up to six now..." He said to himself before calmly picking up the plate and humming at the delicious aroma wafting off the fruit, and he started to slowly eat, letting the food sit for a bit before continuing on to having the next bit of food. He continued this process until the plate was empty and he stood up, plate in hand, as he wondered where to put it. "Well...i mean, there's always the dining table in the garden." He said to himself, walking there and putting the plate on it, only to gasp as the plate was almost instantaneously whisked away by some form of magic. 'So there rleally is magic in the world, and the power of the divine too, huh?...i should go take a bath.' He thought to himself, going to the bathing room and stripping, gently folding up his kimono before putting it to the side of the bath. As he stepped in he sighed in relief, as his muscles were a bit sore from the previous day's activities. He hummed s he soaked in the water, letting his tensions and unease slip away into the bath.

Shinjo smiled as he greeted the animals of the forest. He checked each part of the forest carefully making sure it was still green and healthy. He cleared away the dead or fallen trees to make room for seedlings to take their place. He kept the balance with the forest's creatures.The oldest ones on the verge of the death were carefully allowed to pass away in their sleep. Shinjo could sense a old buck near by and laid his hand onto the buck's head gently. Before softly whispering a spell to put it down painlessly and quickly. He watched as a ball of soft warmed light leave the buck's body and vanished into the earth. The buck's soul would be reborn again sooner or later into a new body and start a new life. He smiled at the buck and left it's corpse for a bear or another wild animal to eat. He always made sure nothing went to waste in the forest.

Kale smiled as he washed himself of after relaxing, massaging the oils into his skin, humming as he did so. After a while he finished cleaning himself out and he got a fluffy and clean towel, drying himself off and humming as he wrapped a towel around his waist and he picked up the folded kimono, wondering if he should put it back on or look for a clean one.

A new fresh kimono appeared next to the tub before the old one vanished into thin air. The new one was a medium green with a light pink slash and decorated with cherry blossoms on the bottom and sleeves. Kale continued on his patrol of the forest and attending to making sure the trees and plants were fertile, green and healthy.

Kale smiled softly as he looked at the pattern on the new kimono before he put it on, smiling as it carries the slight scent of cherry blossoms on it. He then walked out to the garden and sighed a bit, admiring the beauty of the nature around him...though he did have to admit he didn't know the names of most of the flowers or trees in the garden, but they were still beautiful, and all thanks to his new mate. Kale smiled to himself and put a hand on his still flat belly, wondering how many he'll have this litter, as he assumes it certainly won't be the last they'll ever have.

Shinjo soon finished with his duties and started on his way to return to Kale. He thought about how happy he was now to have him in his life and their future litter of pups together. On his way, he heard a soft whimpering in the bushes and decided to check it out. He discovered a runt of a wolf's pup. She was a small grey pup with blue eyes. It had seemed she had gotten lost from her pack or was abandoned. He sighed and picked her up gently. She was too young to on her own. He decided to take her home until he found her pack to return her. Until then she would be good company for Kale.

Kale sighed as he relaxed in the warm sunlight, sitting in a traditional Japanese style in the middle of the garden, hoping to himself that Shinjo would get back as soon as possible so they can spend the rest of the day together, ready for himself to start swelling up with life in the next few months...As he heard the trees parting he looked and got up, smiling as he saw Shinjo, but a bit confused as to the small object he was carrying.

Shinjo smiled and greeted him with a kiss. "Hello there my beautiful mate. I have a surprise for you". He set the furry wolf pup into Kale's lap. The pup whined for a moment and sniffed him curiously. Before making herself comfortable in his lap enjoying his scent. "I found her lost in the forest. I am not sure where she came from. I think she had gotten separated from her pack or was abandoned. But I thought she would be good company for you. When I have to leave you to perform my duties for the day". He smiled and stroked the pup's back gently.

Kale looked at the small wolf pup and almost squealed "Oh my god she's so cute!" He said quietly, not wanting to disturb the pup. "That's sad she was left behind but thank you, she'll give me some company." At that Kale smiled softly at the wolf pup and gently stroked her back.

"You're welcome, she is going to need a name". He smiled and stroked the cute sleeping pup's head gently. As she stirred a bit and curled up into a ball in Kale's lap.

Kale hummed a bit as he thought of a name, something feminine, yet strong, something to show the pup that it was cared for and that it could take care of itself at the same time. "What about Kovu?" Kale asked as he looked down at the stirring pup, "Would you like that?" He asked her.

"Yes, that is a perfect name for her". He smiled and kissed Kale. As Kovu wagged her tail a bit as she heard him. She opened her eyes and yawned showing off all her tiny milk teeth. She blinked and looked at up Kale curiously.
