The Prince and the Knight (Closed with Iliad)
#1

Name: Prince Edwin
Age: 20
Description: He's 5'10'' with short light brown hair and blue eyes.
Other: He's already 2 months pregnant and starting to get slightly pudgy. He's waiting for his knight to come back from war so that they can be together before people start noticing.

He sat there in the court room listening to the messengers report that was boring him to almost crumbling pieces. He drew his cape around him in order to hide his belly that was starting to get a little pudgy. Most of the people that saw him told him to lay off the read meat and they would have a good quick laugh before he would make an excuse to go somewhere else. He avoid his father as if he was the plague because he didn't want to be hounded with questions that Kings needed to stay in shape. Unlike him since he was the king.

He sat there leaning on his wrist as details of the war kept being said and then he heard something that lifted his spirits. The knights were on their way home and would be back the next day or the day after. This made him very happy to where he could run off with his love for awhile after he tells him the great news.

Name: Sir William "Will" Faire
Age: 26
Description: 6''0 with warm green eyes and coal colored hair streaking with premature grey, and light stubble across his jaw and chin. Has a noticeable scar over his nose and part of his cheek.
Other: Was born very very poor but was able to get a job at the palace stables as a small boy and rose up the ranks untill with a bit of help from a certain crown prince was able to become a knight.

Will rode his grey palfrey, he wasnt the knight in shining armor Edwin had seen off, armor polished like silver, and hair with only the first stray grey hairs to mark him a day over 20. But now stress had turned more of his hair grey and while the scar was old, new ones littered his body, and a bloody rag around one arm proved him as much a soldier as his dented, nicked and worn armor. The battle had raged almost the entire two months, both sides as stale-mate, but even with the rainy spring weather, William couldnt help but smile and sing victory ballads with his men as he rode for home, a day ahead of schedual, a victory under his belt, and the prince awaiting.
Of course the prince was his shadow lover, their kisses and sweet words hardly having been more then a year in shadowy alcoves, dark stables, and between shelves in libraries, if caught it would be the scandal of the age, because everyone knew handsome princes married sweet princes, and knights were noble in every way.
As William rode in hours later to the royal stables he couldnt help but blush at the memory of just how unnoble he was with the prince in that very hay loft where they had played as boys.

It was nearly an hour later before the company of officers and two or three knights of distinction strode in to the grand throne room, to startled applause as a herald finished announcing the knights return a day or two from then, earning a few sly grins from the older officers, and giggled from a few court ladies.
William had eyes for only one face in the entire room though.

When they came into the room his eyes were only for the knight that was in the middle of the group he cam to his feet and walked towards them making sure to keep his air around him that he was a prince and they were his knights. "I welcome you all home!" He talked loud enough for the room to hear. "For all of you that have returned we shall hold a feast here today to celebrate your victory! As well as share your tales of battle! Let us all get ready for this grand event! Court dismissed!"

He looked back at his father seeing his approval in the speech he gave and then looked to Will and nodded my head slightly towards the stables. As well as holding up a finger meaning to meet me there in 10 minutes. I quickly then leave the court room feeling giddy and happy to have him back in the castle as well as a bit frighten of what his reaction would be hearing about the baby.

William swelled with pride to see his prince, sitting on the throne and delivering speeches, he knew it was wrong to feel so possessive of the prince, but as he knee before him with the other knights, William couldnt help it, not when their eyes met and he caught their old sign to meet at the stables.

Having to shake hands and talk to a few courtiers, it was nearly 15 minuets before Will could escape it all and get to the stables, grinning at the familiar smell of wood and horses, quickly taking off his armored gloves and bracers as he hurried up the ladder to the hay loft where he knew his love would be waiting.
"Edwin? Edwin!" He called in a hushed voice to the shadowy loft, his eyes taking a minuet to adjust from the bright outside to the hay loft where bars of light from the roof came in to catch dust motes, and there when green eyes finally met blue, Will was sure the dim lighting made him beloved prince look transcendent of angels and royalty alike, more akin to some pagan god of all things good, like harvest, and wine, and summer. "My god, two months too long!"

"I must agree with that." I say with happiness in my voice as my secret love finally meets me in our hiding place. I go over to him and wrap my arms around him making sure to avoid the wounds that were visible to me in the dark light. Then I took a step back from him with a goofy smile on my face.

"I have news for you my dear Will." I tell him as I look down at my shoes for a moment. It was so weird that I was getting nervous over this but I needed to tell him before it was too late. "Do you remember what we did before you left war that my father sent you on?" I ask him shuffling my feet a little on the floorboards that where holding us up. I waited till he nodded before I continued. "Well as you can tell I've gained a little bit of weight since you've last seen me and it not because I've been eating more red meat, it's because I'm....I'm having a baby." I say with a small smile on my face as I look back up at him and wait for his reaction.

Will was glad for the embrace, holding his beloved again was like finally seeing the sun after the two long dark months of battle he had been sent on.
But the knight raised an eyebrow at Edwin as he began to try and explain, all his princely charisma gone it seemed, and a moment later he understood why.
Stunned for a few moments, Will looked in to blue eyes, a grin spreading his face as he began to wonder if the child would have blue eyes also.
"Then prehaps your fathers war was not so in vain after all." He responded, leaning forward to capture the princes lips in his own for a quick but heated kiss. "My lord, this is better then any welcome home I could have asked for"

I was shocked from the kiss but kissed him back quit happy that I could feel his warm lips against my own again. I look up at him and hold his hand. "We need to leave tonight in order to be together. Of course after the feast tonight." I tell him as I look down at my belly still not believing myself that I was with child now.
He then remembered about his father. "Oh that reminds me that I should tell my father that I went to a neighboring kingdom to court the princess." He said as he thought on his feet for a moment.

Will was just as shocked at Edwin's sudden decision to leave as the prince had been by the kiss, making the knight sigh nervously. "Edwin.... Where will we go? You're a prince, and I hardly have estates or villas to hide out at." He tried to reason, unsure how he could just vanish in to the night like a prince without forever leaving behind his current life and becoming a rogue.
"But give me the word and I will do it M'lord, but are you sure this can work? If you think it could, I would ready my horse now and I would carry you across the realm." Lovingly Will put his hand over Edwin's belly, glad now he was only a few hours removed from the war front, and hoping his warriors senses would keep them both safe for a time.

I smiled up at him as he touched my belly that held our unborn child safe and warm. "It will be easy to leave here without suspicion. All I have to do is tell my father that we are leaving to go help out a neighboring kingdom just until the baby is born. Then we will come back together with our child and just live in the castle as a big happy family. We will just say that we found the baby and could raise it as my heir; that way I will never have to marry." I tell him already imagining possibilities of what our child would look like when he or she was born.
I hold his hand that was on my belly and smile up at him. "Let's not worry about this right now though. We have a feast that we need to attend and you can tell me all about the battle that you faced." I give him an encouraging smile.

William smiled, he could imagine a more perfect fate. He would never be able to let their child call him daddy, but it would be okay, his child wouldnt grow up on the streets, and he would be close and able to protect them, protect his beloved too.
"Allright. You win this round." Will relented, though he hardly would have fought much at all, far to eager to ride out once more, Edwin at his side. "After the feast, once your father has an excuse, meet me at outside the city, I'll have everything ready and we can ride out, anywhere in the five kingdoms." Leaning in Will pressed a chaste` kiss to Edwin's lips, and then more playfully to his neck as his hands slipped around the younger mans slowly rounding waist.

He sighed in complete content as he was ravished in kisses from the man he was. Tonight they would ride away until the baby was born and they could be together. It was almost a dream come true for Edwin; it would be just him and his knight. He warped his arms around Will's neck and held him close for a moment, he was happy to have his William back in his life especially now that everything was going to change.
He released him from there embrace and took a step back. "Shall you join me at my table tonight and feast in celebration at your safe return and the news of my pregnancy?" Edwin asked with a smile on his face. Even though it was an question he asked he was basically telling him that he was going to do what he said.

William let out a sigh when Edwin pulled away, in the dim light of the hay loft, with the smell of horses and straw all around, he wished they could just skip the feast and ride out, but at the slightest of request he nodded and laughed a little. "I had my own celebration plans tonight, but, if it must be so, I believe I can play the act of noble knight a bit longer." William spoke in an amused tone, returning the embrace and nuzzling the younger mans neck. "M'lord... When we run away, why not just wed, in secret? Atleast the gods above will know us as one."

Edwin had his back to him in the embrace and placed both hands on Will's arms and leaned against him. He thought about it for a moment before answering. " I think that would be a good idea. We can hold our own little ceremony right here, right now." He told him thinking it was a good idea. He wanted to be married to William and no one else. "This is were I first meet you as a little boy and soon thought of you as a friend. We had our first kiss here when no one was watching us; this is where we spent countless hours in each others embrace; this is were our child was created the night before you left for war." A smile crept up on his face as he said these things and turned around to look up at his Knight. William was his friend, his lover, and the father of their child. He couldn't think of anyone else he would rather marry.

William chuckled softly, running his fingers through Edwin's soft hair as the prince spoke, heart pounding in his chest. It felt like another childs game of pretend as Will instantly went down on one knee infront of Edwin, recalling when they would pretend Edwin was a king and Will a knight and together they always rode out to slay dragons or talk with elves in the empty stalls and hay lofts where a street urchin could be a knight and a prince an urchins friend. "Allright.... Then right here, I will vow myself to you. By the gods above, I will be your husband, and nothing will part us." William locked his green eyes with Edwin's, meaning every word of his vow as he pulled from his hand a ring. The ring was rough iron with only the marks of his cavalry regiment, it was an award of knighthood, and now a wedding band. "Will you accept this, m'lord, my husband?"

(Well let things run its course ok? Plus I have some things in store for this rp :P As well as you can be as graphic as you want, it doesn't bother me. )

Edwin's smile spread across his face when William offered his ring to him. "Yes, knight. I will accept your ring." He says as he pulls off his own ring, it had the mark of royalty that only members of the royal family bore. He held out his own ring to him. "I pledge my faith, loyalty, and my heart to my husband. The gods only know the love that I have for you." He said he took William's hand in his and brought him to his feet again. After William accepted his ring in return he wrapped his arms around his new husbands neck and pressed his body against his as he locked his lips with his.

((Alrght, no sweat I'll just sit back and enjoy the ride then! <3333 ))

Will kissed his new husband with all the love and passion he felt, there could be no simpler a ceremony, but it was all the world to a street urchin who grew up to be a knight, the weight of the new ring comfortably heavy on his hand, as he held the one he had sworn himself above all others.
Sliding his hands down untill he could lift Edwin off the ground, using his height to his advantage, and the new position to deepen the kiss, Will felt the world slip away and was sure that without reminding he could loose himself for hours in his beloved prince.

Edwin would have enjoyed the kiss a bit longer if it hadn't been that he heard footsteps coming into the stable. He quickly pushed William away lightly letting him know that someone was coming. "Sir William, I do have to say that this is a peculiar place to lose one of your shillings." He says to make it sound as if something else had happen up hear instead of the marriage that had happened. When ever they heard something coming into the stables they quickly made up a lie so no one would suspect something had happened up there.
"Your highness, your father is calling for you to come and join the feast. The preparations have been completed and guest will soon be arriving." Called a servant that had been sent by his father that was now climbing up the ladder and saw Edwin and William several feet away from each other.
Edwin sighed as he looked over to William. "I do request that you sit with me at my table tonight. Please don't be late." He told him as he then departed from the stables and went to go get ready for the feast.

William was used to the way their kisses and embraces would but cut short and the lies that would be told to make it seem all just a casual mistake, he would have thought that years ago people would have noticed the two of them loosing everything from shilling to boots up in the hay loft.
Still he swept in to a stiff formal bow in agreement. "Of course my lord, I thank you for the honor." He responded, face carfully blank of all emotion, though his eyes still shined brightly as he watched Edwin leave, waiting a few moments himself before climbing down to head to the feast hall.

The feast hall was packed and brimming with lords and ladies and knights all polished and ready to herald the nobility of the empire and their kings honor. His armor still dull from battle, and mid-length hair swept back in a leather cord, the only thing on William that was polished or shone was the ring on his finger that he played with as he walked through the room, looking here and there for the prince.

Edwin smiled as he saw his knight entered the feast hall. He made idle chat with a duchess that had came to celebrate the battle of victory that they had one. He then leaned over to his father and told him that William would be sitting with them and then his father waved William over.
The king held out a hand for him and they grabbed each others wrist. "My good knight, it is with great pleasure that you have returned to the kingdom unharmed. You must have been visiting family in town to not have your armor polished this evening." He said inspecting him for a second but smiled underneath his graying beard. "No matter! I welcome you to join our table. You may sit next to Prince Edwin here." He then looked around the captive room. "Let us eat to the celebration of our kingdoms victory and be marry with others in our company! Enjoy the feast!" He bellowed out and then sat down having the servants serve him.
Edwin was glad to have William sit next to him. The servant came by with red wine and he passed it up and asked for water instead. He didn't want to hurt the unborn child inside of him but was delighted to have some of the turkey that they offered. He made sure to keep the appearance of being a prince while he would occasionally reach under the table and hold Williams hand.

William was never quite so sure what to do in the kings presence as he was in the princes, but he returned the shake of hands, and nodded his head formally. "Of course, iv been missing my family these past months. Twas well worth it though." Will replied in an agreeable voice, following just behind the royal family and taking a seat of high honor beside his new husband. It was easy to pretend that the feast was in honor of their wedding, and though Will only sipped at the wine, he felt his cheeks coloring a bit. Sitting infront of the entire nobility of the city, and holding hands under the table with a prince was not what he had expected to be doing this morning. Let alone be holding hands with a new husband.
Though he played the chivalrous knight, and mostly engaged in conversation regarding the war, and various noble trifles, the knowing glances with Edwin made it worth while.
"Have you thought of names yet?" He dared to ask while the king was busy giving some regaling speech.
