D'anton did not flinch, but the pain was obvious. The creature cut into his chest with ease. At least the focus was off of Jace. The other however was giving birth to an elder's litter. D'anton however was recently impregnated with a "pup". Maybe he was getting sentimental for the other to an extent. He did hate Legard with a passion, but he figured if out of the predicament, he would rather have him near and not whoever or whatever this one was. Spotting a decent sized boulder, he picked it up, allowing it to soar in the air in hopes it would bash the creature in the head. If not, he probably was still in danger.

Jace looked on weakly as they all fought, the contractions had almost stopped completely but he could feel the others beginning to drop, he panted slightly terrified as he listened to Legard "We'll need to be fast" He said quietly "They're dropping lower" As he said that the head of a pup pressed tightly against his stomach and you could see the pup moving down
