The Perfect Affair (closed with RoyalThorn)

Ben was living a life few men his age got to lead. He was only 24, but lived a relatively lavish lifestyle. He made plenty of money as a banker in the city, but a recent inheritance had allowed him enough money to buy a place in the suburbs. He questioned his decision, being so young, and living far from the action, but he liked the quiet, despite the loneliness. He'd noticed his neighbors were close to his age--just a few years older. He decided he'd reach out to them soon to try and make some new friends.

Liam mowed the lawn while whistling an old tune. He noticed while he was mowing the lawn with an upbeat pace, his new neighbor who recently moved in was eying him. As if he were observing his every movement. As he turned off the engine and took off his headphones, he walked across the street as he gave a warm smile. "Howdy neighbor. Fine day, ain't it?"

"It sure is," Ben replied, stretching his arm out for a handshake. "I'm Ben, by the way," he said with a smile. "Just got this house from my great aunt."

(I'm retconning that little bit. The house he inherited, he didn't buy it).

Liam grabbed the young man's hand firmly and shook it. "I know this isn't the most-er, proper introduction," He chuckled nervously as her was covered in sweat and dirt from all the yard work. "But I hope you like it here."

"Yeah...didn't think I was quite ready for the burbs, but this place is my responsibility now. I've still got a place in the city--I've got no clue how often I can be there though." Ben thought aloud. "But it's nice. So far
 Do you like it here?"

"Ah yeah. Love it here!" he grinned. "My husband 'n I settled here five years ago and started a family. Trust me, the suburban life ain't as quiet as you think it is, once you meet my family."

Ben chuckled softly. "That's nice. So you have a five year old? I've got a nephew who's that age, and he's all over me whenever I babysit him!"
