Toby gasped as his belly began to swell. He could feel it growing under his palm, feel the tightness of his new womb as it was filled and stretched. He groaned as it happened, closing his eyes briefly as his abdomen expanded slowly.

When it was over, Toby examined his belly carefully. It stuck out from his body defiantly, seemingly in a state of transition from a mere bulge to the gentle curve of pregnancy. He was probably about 4 months or so. "It... it worked," he swallowed. "I'm... I'm pregnant."

Sean started to rub Toby's belly.

Toby looked up at him and smirked. "Oh, yeah. Nice job, buddy."

"Thanks, Toby." Sean smiled.

"So," said Toby, patting his belly, "I think we should do an ultrasound, just to make sure everything's alright." 'Plus, I really want to see my baby,' he thought.

Sean got everything set for the ultrasound.

Toby took advantage of the setting-up time to stretch his arms and dangle his legs over the sides of the bed one by one. "Are you ready yet?" he asked eventually.

"Ready." Sean replied. He squirted gel on Toby's belly and moved the scanner around.

Toby laughed a little at the feeling of the gel on his skin, then looked at the screen. He gasped when he saw the baby curled up inside him for the first time.

"There's your baby, Toby." Sean smiled.

"Oh my God," Toby whispered, looking down at his belly and back at the screen. A tender smile crept up his face, his eyes threatening tears.

Sean smiled as he wiped the gel off of Toby's belly.

Toby lowered his shirt, which was now very snug around his stomach, and stood up. "So when do you think it'll start growing again?" he asked, loosening his belt a little.

"You'll be growing every other day." Sean replied."

Toby smiled. "Well, that'll be fun." He chuckled, patting his belly and getting ready to head for the exit. "How about I come back for a checkup in a week or so?" he asked.

"Sounds good, Toby." Sean smiled. "See ya in a week."

A week later, Toby returned to the lab. He had a very loose shirt and some sweat pants on to accommodate his bulge, which now appeared six months pregnant. The baby was active today and Toby was constantly rubbing his hand around his belly to calm it down.

"Hey, Toby." Sean smiled. "Ready for your check up?"

Toby nodded eagerly. "Sure," he said. "Where do we start?"

"First, I need to check the firmness of your belly." Sean replied.
