"You just place it over the fire until it's cooked," Leo said, got out of bed, and knelt next to Shizan. "Here I can do it. Besides, I know more about cooking food as a human than you do."

He stood up and grabbed a good sized rock that was decently flat and brought it back to Shizan.

"You can even use this to cook the organs on it for me if you want," Leo said and knelt down beside Shizan again. "You can eat whatever you want from the deer."

Shizan nods and starts to cook the organs "so how do you catch your food as a human?" He decides to wait till Leo is done eating before eating as well.

Leo looks around for something to use to cook his deer leg. He eventually finds it in a long, relatively thin stick. He shoves the stick into the led and holds the end that's not in the led. He then holds the deer led over the fire.

"Well, we use some type of weapon," Leo said in answer to Shizan's question. "In this day and age the preferred weapon is a gun, but we also occasionally use a bow and arrow, a crossbow, and in cases where we don;t have any of that a spear for big game like deer. We also use traps for smaller game like rabbits."

Leo looked into the flames of the fire lost in thought.

"I never really learned how to hunt because I wasn't really fond of it," Leo said quietly. "My brother was more of a hunter than I was."

Shizan watches Leo cook"what are guns." noticing Leos staring into the fire sits by Leo worried for his mate "Do you miss him?"

"Guns are a type of weapon that can do a lot more damage than a bow and arrow or even a spear," Leo said still staring into the fire. "It's a good thing no one had a gun with them or else some one would have used it by now. Possibly on you."

Leo then took the deer led odd the fire for a bit to check the meat for done-ness. When it wasn't quite done, Leo put it back over the fire again before answering Shizan's other question.

"Not really," Leo said. "We were complete polar opposites of each other: different personalities, different likes/dislikes, the whole nine yards. We always got on each other's nerves by annoying each other like crazy."

Shizan thinks "the thunderstick? with lighting sting?" He licks Leos cheek and purrs "Well your safe with me." His tail rubs Leos arm like Leo did to Shizan.

"Yeah, you could say that about a gun," Leo said and blushed at Shizan's lick. He smiled when he brushed his tail along Leo's arm and suppressed a giggle.

Leo took the deer led off of the fire in order to check it once again. Satisfied that it was cooked well enough, he took a bite out of it.

"Hmm, so good," Leo said once he had swallowed the first bite. "Haven't had venison in a while. Venison is what we humans call deer meat, by the way. And eating it like a drum stick too. That's what we call a chicken leg."

He continued eating the deer leg now realizing just how hungry he actually was.

Shizan nods"A man in a wierd blue hat had one. He was stuck in your plane. When I went to help him, he used the gun. It scraped my side, but I healed quickly, Then I took his hat once he died."

"At least you healed quickly," Leo said as he finished the leg and grabbed an organ to try it: the liver.

He bit into the liver. It was tough but was okay to eat. Leo would have eaten it either way because of how hungry he was.

"I never realized how hungry I was," Leo said and wiped the grease from the fat off his mouth with his arm. He'll find a stream where he can wash off later.

Shizan "we worked alot yesterday and didn't eat much. Im glad your eating though" Shizan watches purring. His kits will grow well with Leo as his mate.

"True," Leo said as he finished the liver and grabbed another organ: a kidney. It would be best to eat as much of the deer as he could so the kits will grow to be nice and healthy. "What kind of changes will my body go through due to the pregnancy?"

Shizan thinks "Your hormones will be unbalanced. Your belly will get round with kids. Fathers mate had swollen ankles. Ummm My oldest brothers mate had morning sickness. I think thats it." He purrs watching Leo eat, happy Leo is eating so much.

Leo nodded as he finished the first kidney and began working on the second.

"Those are obvious changes," Leo said as he munched on the kidney. "About when did you older brother's mate begin to have morning sickness and how long did it last? If you know anything about it that is."

Shizan "My bigs brothers mate, Corucan had morning sickness by the third week, and gave birth by the Third month to three baby jagures and Two Scarlet-chested parrots."

Leo nodded again as he finished the kidney and patted his stomach, aching with fullness.

Leo stared into the flames thinking. There were a multitude of questions swirling around in his head and he didn't know what one to ask first nor how to ask it.

Shizan hugs Leo close and licks his cheek. His purrs get louder as he puts a hand on Leos stomach "Full my mate?"

"Yeah," Leo said and blushed at Shizan's lick. He closed his eyes and leaned his head against Shizan. "Would it be okay if you would show me around the temple since I'll be calling it home from now on?"

Shizan nods "this is the heart of the temple and where i have chosen to put our room." He stands up slowly helping Leo up as well

Leo nodded and accepted Shizan's help in standing up. After the meal, Leo felt stronger than he had been since...well, since the plane crashed and left them stuck here.

"Is there anything special about this room that you decided to make it ours?" Leo asked and looked around. "I have a natural curiosity if you're wondering as to why I'm asking so many questions."

Shizan nods and smiles "its the safest room.perfect for raising a family. A week after i completed getting the bed ready your plane crashed."
