"It's okay. We're both at fault," Leo said with a smile and tried eating some of the chicken he had in his hands.The outsides were burnt and tasted like charcoal (obviously), but under the burnt crust, the meat wasn't all that bad. It actually did taste like chicken.

Leo carefully tore off the burned crust and began eating the meat that wasn't burnt.

"Not bad for being burnt on the outside," Leo said with a smile and continued eating.

Shizan smiles " I'm glad you can still eat some of it. " he helps peel the burnt parts off and smiles

"The burnt part tastes like charcoal but the inside taste fine," Leo said and smiled back as he sat down after making sure that the chickens currently on the fire wouldn't burn.

Shizan nods and lays down. He keeps himself awake for a while longer but soon falls asleep again.

Leo remains awake and continues to eat the rest of the chickens. When every last bit of meat was gone, he climbed back into bed next to Shizan and snuggled up next to him.

Leo rubbed his own stuffed belly before gently stroking Shizan's cheek and then falling back asleep as well.

In the morning Shizan goes hunting again. He quickly catches a deer and brings it back. While starting a fire he looks at Leo.

Leo doesn't wake up until the smell of smoke from a fire roused him from his sleep. He yawned and stretched before noticing that Shizan was looking at him.

"Yes my mate?" Leo asked and licked his lips when he saw the deer Shizan brought back. His stomach grumbled signalling that he was hungry again, even after eating all of the chickens that Shizan brought back earlier that morning at night. He rubbed his belly to try and quell his hunger a bit. It didn't work that well.

Shizan grins " hungry already? Not too supriseing considering you have a litter of kits and yourself to feed" he gets started on cooking. " I do hope this deer is enough for use both"

"It should be," Leo said licking his lips again as he sits by Shizan with a smile. "Then again, you never know how hungry the kits will be."

[Okamiryun]

Shizan nods and kisses Leo. "How true lets feed them before they get too hungry" he continues to cook the food. " your herd is starting to think they will never leave this land"

Leo returned the kiss and smiling before frowning.

"They could probably leave this place if someone comes here from where we came from," Leo said sadly. He wanted the others to go back home and not end up as food for some other creature. If they ended up as another creature's mate, Leo wouldn't mind that as much. "Besides, it's not like I can go back without having you leave your family behind as well."

Shizan hugs and kisses Leo "they should be ok but if you leave I will follow you. How will others know your herd is here?"

"I don't know," Leo said with a shrug. "They would probably have to stumble onto this place while searching for us."

Leo checks on the food before returning to Shizan.

"Are you sure you're willing to leave a place that you're familiar with for a place that you'd be unfamiliar with?" Leo asked and sat next to Shizan. "You'd be going into a world technology reigns supreme, no one can shape shift, and the more prominent jungles are made out of concrete and steel. Are you sure you want to give up everything you have here for a world that you'll be unfamiliar with?"

Shizan" wouldn't give it up for the new world. I would give it up for you." He hold Leo and purrs. He watches the fire worried about if he really will have to leave his jungle.

Leo smiled grateful that Shizan would give up what he knew just to be with him. He then sighed as he got up to check on the deer meat again, taking a small piece off that was already done in the process.

"If they give me a choice between remaining here and going back, I'd rather remain here than go back," Leo said as he made his way back to Shizan. He then wrapped an arm around Shizan's waist as he took a bite of the meat. "And I too would do it for you."

Shizan grins and kisses Leo. "I'm glad you want to stay with me as well." He strokes Leo's hair and holds him close.

Leo smiled and returned the kiss.

"Why wouldn't I want to stay with you?" Leo said still smiling as Shizan stroked his hair as he ate the piece of meat he has in his hand. "You are the father of the kits I am carrying after all."

Shizan nods" true but that doesn't mean you have to love me or want me. I'm glad you do love me though" he lets Leo eat as his hand moves to caress Leo's back.

"I do love you and I do want to be with you," Leo said as he finished the piece of meat in his hand and relaxed into Shizan's caress. His stomach, on the other hand, had other ideas as it grumbled again. Leo sighed. "I guess it's time to eat the deer you caught."

Shizan kisses Leo. "I love you too." He smiles as Leo's stomach growls "sounds like it. Now kits be nice to you father he is trying to feed you"
