Muffled grumblings were heard from the sleeping taur. And here he thought he could just sleep in, he was pregnant and in need of sleep, can't his mate be a bit more sympathetic? But he sighed knowing that the other was right. He loves his job too much and he is responsible for his shifts. Grudgingly he started to slowly sit and rise from the bed, making sure to shoot an annoyed look at the alpha. He was disappointed his tricks didn't work this time. He felt enlightened by the musk, yes, but still...

Lumin's morning had been healed by the loving gestures of his mate as they walk to the clinic. But events didn't let it continue to be happy.
He was busy talking and negotiating with Mrs. Dashwood about his schedule, him not wanting to change anything further, when suddenly a mare emerged. He was alright with having female patients, what he was not okay with is a female patient flirting with his alpha. He felt his heart break a little with the scene. It seems that Gerard was okay with whatever the mare was doing with him, not at all guilty about having his pregnant omega watching them.
No! Gerard is not like that. He would never betray me for any omega. But still, he feels hurt. It didn't help that he was beginning to be insecure. The female was a beauty, no doubt men find themselves easily attracted to her, mated alphas not an exemption. He made a quick observation of himself. He was round, big, and probably ugly. He sighed. He was snapped out of it when the attention of the 'two friends' was drawn to him. He quickly faked a smile and politely greeted the mare that was called Savannah.

Lumin wasn't sure whether he was still doing the right procedures or not. All he could focus on was the chat of his alpha and the flirtatious female. He didn't mean to snoop, but with how lovely and intimate their words were getting, he couldn't help be bothered. There were times when they would hear them laughing well and that would almost make him cry in heartbreak and jealousy. But he was skilled in masking grief.
The omega was grateful, though that at least Gerard didn't forget that he was his bonded and properly introduced him to the wanna be. He tried to smile as natural as his downed spirit could muster. The frown he received got him chills. He feels bad aura with this friend. That is why when asked about going to a fire dance event, he wanted to shout a firm 'no'. But to see his mate look so thrilled about going, he just decided that he would just endure and hope that the woman didn't have any dirtiness on her.
S-sure, G. O-of course I'll come, for you. though his voice was weaker and was almost whispering, lacing with sadness. Gerard didn't seem to notice, probably still in daze and euphoria that he found a 'friend'. He sat himself on the coach of the room. It was almost lunch, but he bet his mate failed to notice that also.
