"oh.. I'm sorry." Jace went quiet for a moment. looking back at Jareth for a moment his eyes almost seemed to glow in the darkness of the room. Likely do to the changes, this was not the first time it had happened but outside in the moon light it was more obvious then usual "So you've been around a long time then. This could make for a vary long story..but thats good. I don't mind.

Mesmerized by the moment, Jareth touched on Jace's brows, looking at his eyes with curiosity. He could see a slight tint of redness, but that glowing was from another clan. "How about you? Your parents? Family?" He asked, not entirely for the sake of figuring out Jace's ancestry but more on getting to know the young man.

"I was adopted. So I don't know much about my birth parents but the people I grew up with were really good. There still around but they don't live around here. I moved away when I went to school. I have an older sister but she doesn't live around here either. I kind of moved out here all on my own. Jace shrugged. "We didn't have a big family but they were good, and we were close."

"So your sister's also adopted?" Jareth asked casually, tracing Jace's figures with his long, elegant finger. The sillhouette of Jace was looking too nice to be real under the moonlight. "Sounded like you are a lucky one. I have witnessed enough sad adopting stories. Good to know you have loving parents. Though why move out?"

No, she was biological, I had a twin when I was born but it never survived. So I was given up as an only child. As for why I moved out, I don't know grew up in the same small town all my life. I've always wanted to travel just get away from everything ya know?" Jace smiled lightly that had been the main reason for coming here.. to get away from everything else.

Jareth smiled at the irony. Jace had indeed achieved that by coming here. The vampire felt the night breeze blowing through and wrapped an arm around Jace, shielding him from the chill. He raised his body temperature a bit in case Jace needed that. He could become a walking fireplace, if needed.

Jace laid his head on Jareth's shoulder and closed his eyes Jareth was nice and warm against the cold breeze, this Jace guessed was becomes of his powers. For a long time they stayed there though eventually as the sun began to rise they headed back inside. The sun wouldn't hurt Jace nor would it bother Jareth but it could do something to the twins.

The new few days seemed to move quickly vampires other then Jareth came and went a lot of the time but there still had been no sighn of LeRoy. Jace knew it was only a matter of time until he met the man so he had tried hard to stick to the library and away from where the other vampires often met.

Jareth had given orders to the servants as well to keep a close eye on teh arrival of guests. He stressed on the importance to notify him once LeRoy arrived. Jareth became postiviely agitated at the unknown. As they approached bedtime meaning they had past another no-leroy night, he had brought a little soemthing with him for Jace to calm both of their restlessness.

He knocked on the door as customary. He always announced his arrival in case he startled Jace with his soundless steps. "Just want to give you this before you take the shower. This balm's for your belly, would sooth skin and would help to relax it to accommodate for the growth. Sorry it had taken so long, there's some ingredient that needed a little time to arrive." In truth this balm was so precious, it had taken his medics a whole month to produce, with a few drops of his own blood as part of the solution.

Jace looked up he tool the balm from Jareth giving him a bright smile "Thank you.." He said softly he had been just about to go take a shower so really it had been good timing. "Anything or anyone interesting today?" Jace asked setting the balm down next to him. Just in the last few days he had continued to grow he could sometimes feel one of them kicking though they were still small enough that Jareth wouldn't notice and that it wasn't vary often. Even so it was vary strange.

"Speaking of which, indeed there is. Someone came from the far east arrived. He's our guest this year and I was quite startled to see how stiff he was. He looked more like a zombie than a vampire to me. If you saw a walking corpse around, just ignore him. He didn't look like he wanted to interact with anyone here, i just wondered why would he accept our routine invitation this year all of a sudden." Jareth said, smiling to himself as he recalled the awkward guest around a bunch of vampires, looking very out of place.

Jace chuckled. "Alright yea, I'll keep that in mind. Some of your guests are vary interesting." Jace stood up. "Well im going to go jump in the shower I'll be back." And he took off. for a few minutes taking the the stuff Jareth had given him with him.

The shower went fine and Jace was just drying off and had gotten dressed . He left the room turned the corner and stopped because he had suddenly become face to face with the man he had been told to be careful of. Well this was happening a servent had just informed Jareth that LeRoy had arrived. He was late but then again perhaps that wasn't exactly unexpected from the man.

Jareth found himself imagining the gesture and how Jace would apply the balm on his belly. they had been very polite against each otehr so far, which was why to this day, Jareth had yet to see the naked belly of Jace. He was starting to get curious, especially when the twins started to respond to him a little more these days, being more developed now. He almost lept up of his seat as he was told that LeRoy had arrived. He tried to locate Jace who had to be able right this moment, fearing for his mate's life. Yes his mate, he suddenly come to realise that. Jace had long not been the mere human. He was his mate and the "mother" of his children. He took off in a split second, imagining the worst.

Jace called for Jareth as quickly as he could, just moments after the shock had worn off. He took a step back and watched the other vampire take a step foreword. This wasn't good. It was going to attack him Jace was almost sure of it. He couldn't fight back like this. he wasn't sure what to do he could only really hope that Jareth had heard him and would be here quickly.

Jareth heard the calling and appeared right beside Jace. "LeRoy, I see you have met my mate. This is Jace. Jace, this is LeRoy, my cousin." Jareth stood there, putting an arm protectively on Jace's shoulder, a hand under his belly slightly supporting it. He looked at LeRoy with high alert, tension was thick in the air.

LeRoy was a platinum blond like Jareth, but his eyes were a darker shade of red and he dressed not as meticulous than his cousin. He squinted his eyes on Jace as he sized him up. "A filthy, nasty human. And pregnant. My good old cousin, you should know this is forbidden. Perhpas you couldn't do it, being so softhearted like a woman as you always are. Let me take care of this little probelm for you. I would be very happy to let my people get a taste of those bastards. Hmm they smell young. Just a month, per say? Pity, they would taste even better entering their second month. A little underdeveloped now, they are." He said with narrowed eyes, sniffing in the air.

Jace's eyes took on the same red glow they often did, except this time it seemed to have been triggered by emotion. He looked over LeRoy carefully studying him. "Stay back." Jace growled. Somehow, there was no fear in his expression. Though Jareth being so close to him might have still been able to sense the fear from him Jace stayed close to his mate but his eyes never left the other vampire. He didn't like the man's words the way he spoke of the babies like that. Jace wouldn't let him hurt them.

"Oh, a spirited little thing. I see. No wonder you could capture my cousin's eyes. Usually he had higher stnadard than that... you are a little... plain." LeRoy continued as he looked at Jace. "Though.. these eyes... and you smelll...." He noticed the slight glowing and was even more intrigued. "Nonetheless, you are still contaminating our blood. Jareth, you should know better than this. we have the rsponbiitliy to keep our bloodline pure." He accused Jareth, who growled and stepped forwad, though quite pleased with how Jace was holding under the threat. "You keep your hands off my mate LeRoy. It's none of your business and I assure you, this is the family that i am getting and you are not going to ruin this."

Jace's gaze flickered between the two vampires for a few moments watching LeRoy's expression carefully. He didn't think the vampire was going to back down. "No one asked you for your opinion, what I am or am not is none of your business. This is not your place." It was almost strange seeing Jace like this he normally stepped away from conflict and now he was out right talking back to LeRoy. "You can let this go, or you can leave." There was anger edged under his words. There was no excuses for this. This man had come to think all humans were bad just because of a few.

"Who do you think you are to talk to me like that. Jareth, you are really lagging behind in your training skills." LeRoy said with disdain. The human was like an animal in his eyes and who would want to have children with your pet? "If I didn't want to let this go, even your hubby there wouldn't be able to stop me." He said, getting to Jace's side within a split second, though he soon found himself getting clutched around his neck and threw back, bumping into the wall. "YOu leave my mate alone. Like he said, this is none of your business and this is our place. If you don't like it, leave. We didn't need you here." Jareth said, leaping in front of LeRoy and held him up by his neck on the wall.

Jace took a step back he had been momentarily stunned by the vampires movement. It had startled him he watched LeRoy's expression almost expecting him to back down. Jace's gaze didn't lighten this man clearly didn't understand humans, probably didn't know a thing about them. Jace's eyes glowed brighter before dimming again as he calmed down a bit. He didn't say anything else or add any more to the conversation he had seen all he needed to know LeRoy probably couldn't be reasoned with.

LeRoy struggled for a bit but he soon realised he couldn't compete with Jareth in strength, not when he's in Jareth's mansion and surrounded by his inheritary power. "cousin, you wouldn't think this could harm me in any bit right? Let go." he finally said with a little displeased face. He didn't like this feeling of getting controlled, but he wouldn't stand a chance while he's still loomed under the family aura of Jareth's. He growled finding Jareht unrelenting, who finally did release him. Jareth returned to Jace, keeping a close eye to LeRoy as he stood beside the human, taking his hand. "Leave us alone LeRoy. This would be the final warning." With that, he escorted his mate back to their bedroom.
