It was his appendix? His only recollection of the matter was when his mother needed to get hers removed. The procedure didn’t take long, but he imagined he was going to be out cold all the same. If this spared him from feeling this terribly ill, he was going for it. He’d be sore for a few, but it was better than to have it spring up on him again or to feel gravely ill like this.
