Rumors. That was all it could be chalked up to in the long run. They had nothing to support the evidence. Was it fun to theorize about? Sure. But could the partially Hispanic, primarily African-American male say they were true and an actual occurrence? No. That's what D'Anton Sanchez had to tell various people on the other end of the line, no matter how annoying it got to repeat over and over again. "No, there are no aliens. I'm sure they'll turn up eventually."
Seven was a frightening number to consider. They weren't a large town in the first place, but they had to take into account the statistics about those within that age range. They probably got tired of their living conditions and hightailed it out of there to live in another town or go to another state entirely. He could be painfully blunt about that matter at times, which brought tears to the family's eyes. What could he say though? Believe in the crackpot theorists who were spitting thoughts that aliens were abducting them? He hung the phone up on the dial before leaning back in his chair at the desk. He rubbed a hand over his short cut, yet curly hair before running it across his thick upkept shaven beard before rising up from the chair to go for some coffee.
"I don't know what would possess them to come here," he said in response to Frank trying to determine these strange theories. "There's not much here they would even want."
He would try to humor Tyson if nobody else did, at least. He went to the break room to fix himself some coffee as a means to help calm some of his nerves. When he returned, he joined in taking the bag that was his. He was in a mood for a burrito and that's exactly what he got before looming eyes got the wrong idea. That had happened before where he put money in on something and someone took it randomly when he wasn't looking. He was a rookie then, but now the Twenty-Seven year old had the Academy behind him by close to two going on three years. By now, he was partnered with Antonio, knowing the ropes in the fullest by now. That was why he couldn't take the idea about aliens as highly credible, yet he also youthful at the same time, enjoying video games on his leisure and clearly, thinking about aliens or some zombie invasion.
He was munching on his burrito when he heard the phone ring at Antonio's desk. He could hear the small murmurs, not quite well enough to know the full conversation, but when Antonio hung up, he knew it was time for them to move out again. He grabbed his shoulder holster, which held his EDC X9 9mm pistol.
"Alrighty" he merely stated before rolling up his sleeves to his black dress shirt. "I'm driving."
It sounded like they had to get there in a hurry. He was not one to toot his own horn, but he knew how to get there a bit faster, especially when it came to having to cut some corners. He turned the siren on to help reduce their chances of running into anyone and given the situation in that the resident of the house was still present while the break-in was occurring, they were certainly within their rights to speed and hurry. He brought the vehicle to a screeching halt when they had arrived on the main street itself.
"Did she give an address," he asked as he parked the car, taking the seatbelt off to get out the car. He would follow Antonio rather than be hasty in the endeavor of rescuing the lady from the would be invader.
