Vampires Vs Werewolves it's a tale as old as time and yet, the story never grows old-
Alex had always been the strong quiet type- that is unless he had something to say in which case he never shut up. Being a vampire since his early teens he had become accustomed to a life of solitude. More or less at least. There were always the small groups of vampires that roamed around forming 'tribes' of sorts but Alex had only briefly been a part of them. Although lately, he had been working with them simply for food. Humans had pushed vampires into the forests outcasting them from society. They were afraid, and Alex understood. It was fair, after all, vampires were killing them.
Can you guess what other creature they had pushed back into the woods? Werewolves. The two had claimed territories but they often clashed. The places they could go were running out as well as a proper food source. They were on the brink of a war if they weren't careful. Everyone was at their limit, one false move was all it would take.
Alex stood on the river bank watching the fish swim. They had such simple lives, going from one place to another without a care in the world. They didn't know what they were missing so there wasn't anything to miss. In one swift move he reached into the water and pulled out a fish, it flopped in his hands and he simply held tighter to it taking a bit out of its raw flesh without even thinking this might be strange to others. It was normal for Alex. He tossed the bones to the side pausing only as he heard someone approaching.
