Leniad stayed silent the whole time letting everyone talk around him or about him. he never once spoke up for himself even when questioned, letting Cyan do it for him even if the questions were about how he came to this kingdom undetected and how he stayed here for so long undetected aswell.

after the conference he walked back to their room with Cyan for dinner, the new collar he would need to wear already waiting for him and looked exquisitely made. he remained silent and downcast, his usual semi upbeat attitude now completely absent and it worried his mate, aswell as people they past, one even whispering to his friend, when he thought they couldn't hear him, that Leniad looked like he had lost his will to live.

He simply couldn't fathom. What had happened? His eyes narrowed. He walked back in silence not becuse he was mad but becuse he was worried. He knew his partner well or so he thought. Why would he keep this from him. He walked back to the room his gaze frantic. As he threw open the door he relized that there was a new collar. He failed to put his back on not cearing about others thoughts. Most everyone already knew. He turned his gaze to his lion. "what in the world was that. Don't you dear think I'm mad I'm not. I'm just worried. Why would you keep this a secret I would not of feared your mine no matter what your mine." he said his gaze intense. He walked over and wrapped his arms around the shorted male. He pulled him close wanting to fix that broken look

the lion just gave a shrug and a whimper "What's there to say?" he mumbled "My own father abandoned me... the kingdom didnt look for me. there was nothing to tell... like it would matter if i had said 'I'm the Lion prince who's father disgarded like yesterdays trash because he wouldn't fuck who he was told to like a good puppet'. In the Lion kingdom i am nothing... hell i'm less than nothing... Here i am nothing... there... nothing is up from where i am. first chance they get when you return to the kingdom i'll be labled as your consort at best... seducer at worst..." he gave a whimper and picked up the collar on the table and looked at it in though before looking back to his mate, face fur starting to mat with the tears he was sheading.

"I'm going to just become something that sits in the background and fills space... occasionally popping out cubs when you are ready for a new one. forced to see you marry a prince or princess from one of the other beadt kingdoms." he says giving another drawn out whine "A target for my fathers abuse whenever he comes to visit because i am a disgrace to him... a nobody... like i was when you first saw me in the dungeons..."

He stoped hearing his words. His bloid felt icy as he spoke. He couldnt even understand why on eath hed degrade him self but now it made sense. Hed never been respected or treated with regard to his wrll being. His father gated him for what he was and would not accept it. Hed grown up seeing him self as a waist of space who wasnt woth someone love or time. But what really hurt him was that he thought hed leave him for another kingdoms royalty and use him as a cub supplier.

"just what do you take me for? Who hete rescued you when they wanted to kill you? Who got you pregnant in the first place. Who sleeps beside you every night? Who tells you that they love you every day? Who? Me. Ilove you and im not going to just abandon you. Ypur my mate for life no matter what. I wint leave you for a damn alliance. Iv made that clear iv chosen you. Please dont ever say somthing like that ever again. It hurts me to know you think id just abandon you. " his eyes were hurt as he steared at him

Leniad had whispered softly 'you' to each question as Cyan spoke. when he finished he released a loud sob and took the step forward to hug him tightly after dropping the collar to the floor. he wept openly, eyes burried in the other felines shoulder as he did matting the fur with his tears. he didnt know if he was still depressed or felt a weight lift from his shoulders at being told he was finally wanted by someone and wouldn't just be turned into a cub factory once all this was over.

his legs gave out after a few minutes and he dragged Cyan slowly to and awkward sitting position on the floor, face still burried against his neck and shoulder and it took atleast another trn minutes for him to stop crying and collect himself.
"Wh... what a ..are we going to do a...about the Ambassadors i...if they demand that you mate with someone else?" he asks hiccuping every few seconds "A...as far as i know i d...dont have any powers..."

"i love you and they know that. Iv made it clear your my choice and i wont be mating. Your my favorite thing in this world. Any offers will be turned down. Powers or no mine are enoigh to speak for us both. Your father can say what he likes do as pleases and it wont change my mind."

He rubbed the back of his head trying to sooth his lion. He was cearful to not say anything that would add insult to injury. He let him cool down and figure out his standing. He wanted him to see he was not like the rest.

he nods and continues to hold himself close to him "Can... can we bathe and go to bed?" he asked softly "i think we need sleep..." he certainly looked tired when he pulled back, his eyes bloodshot from his crying and face fur all matted down. what he wanted was a relaxing soak in a hot bath with Cyan then sleep snuggled up with him.

"sure let me just get the tub filled up then we can clean up." he headed out the rokm and filled the tub. He then waljed back into the room and smilled at his lion naked and in his fuzzy form. He smiled and bekoned his lovly lion to folow.

getting up slowly, Leniad took Cyans hand hand let him escort him to the bathroom. his tail wagged lazily behind him as they walked and he placed one hand on his belly getting lost in thought about their oncoming children. he was shaken out of it when they entered the bathroom, air steamy and warm due to the filled bath.

he waited for Cyan to strip down before they both climbed in, the lion sitting in front of Cyan and rested back against him giving a soft purr.
"mmm... this feels better" he says softly, eyes closing as he gets comfortable.

"my precious lion. You look so lovley i can hardly stand it." he said nuzzling him. He gently pulled him close and rubbed his belly. He was happy thete cubs would grow to know that they were loved. He hoped his lovley lion would do the same.

he purred and gently placed his hands on his mates on his belly. he knew he was loved by Cyan, and while that was all he really wanted, he knew that he would still need to deal with the issues from his father and the lion nation. even now he knew the diplomat was speaking with his father. it filled him with a sense of dread not knowing what they would do.

he did know that Cyan and the rulers of his current home would do everything in their power to protect him. on top of that the other nations wouldn't look kindly on any actions they took against him seeing as he was Cyans mate and carrying his child.

Cyan gently rubbed the fuzxy belly bump under his fingers. He purred softly then leaned in and nuzzled him softly. He loved him with all his heart and couldnt bear to be apart from him. His smowy furred mate meant everything to him and hed do anything to protect him.

He had already made it very clear that he wasnt going to be set up. He also made clear his mate of choice was the one that sat before them. He refused to let them ruke his life. He had made his choice and chosen clearly.

Pressing himself closer he purred softly "I...I think we should bathe before we sleep" he says softly "Shall we head to the baths to wash off the smell of the meeting before bed? we... we can bathe together."

"silly kitty were already in the bath. You just need to scrub up. Calm down a bit and try to relax. I know your nervous but with me theres nothing to worry about. I wont let them get to you i love you. Rember no matter what i love you." he kissed his cheek softly and then pulled the sosp over and started to scrub his lovers fur. He wanted to pamper him and spoil him till he knew just how much he loved him. He scrubed along his lovley mane and then moved down his torso.

the lion blushed at being reminded they were already in the bath. he truly had been distracted and worked up if he had forgotten a fact as blatant as that. he relaxed a little as Cyan pampered him, purring loudly as he was washed down with care and a loving touch, especially over his belly.

Cyan was actually getting a closer look at his mate for once now Leniad wasn't fidgeting or rushing around as he seemed to do a lot, a habit he had developed in his time on the streets. he had a lot of split ends to his mane and it would need a good brush to get some of the knots out. his fur was thicker and silky soft in some places, but in others it seemed distressed, rough and thin.

He even appeared thinner than Cyan was lead to believe him to be, his fur hiding it. his belly was swelling yes, but the rest of him was well underweight. clearly even though he was being given every almost amenity possible, he wasn't taking care of himself for some reason, not eating enough and not bathing properly to take care of his fur and mane.

However there were some signs that he would have been a regal presence once upon a time. hidden in his fur and on his body if one just knew where to look.

He purred deeply as his fingers worked the soap along his mates body. He wirked down to his hips taking extra cear in scrabing the tension away. He wanted the other to relax and let go of all the stress he held. His soft gaze looked at tge other and he purred deeply. He leaned in and nuzzled his cheeks softly.

He moved his nimble fingers down his legs and gently worked out the knots and tension. He was hoping to get tge others stress down as he worked along his body with loving cear. He felt that doing this not only made it more clear of his love but also showed dedication. He never wanted the other to feel like a cub maker or second best.

He finished ip and gently riinsed away the soap. He then scrubed himself down quickly

it hadn't taken long for Cyan to make the lion relax, after the nuzzles to his cheeks he seemed to just, melt and go limp. he was even starting to doze off towards the end, clearly tired and at peace now his stress wws released.

the trip from the bath to the bed, once they were both dry, was short but felt long to Leniad. he just felt to drained, and while the food on the table, which had been delivered while they were bathing, was enticing to his hungry belly he was torn on which to do, sleep or eat.

"id tell you to eat but that can come later go take a rest. Im going to eat then join you." He nuzzled him softly and then sat down to eat. He hoped the other woukd get some rest he needed it.

Leniad returned the nuzzle and went to comment about the kittens probably needing food but decided to do as he was told and climbed into bed. he gave a light groan as he got comfortable but dozed off reasonably quickly falling into a deep slumber.

It was half an hour later or so, just as Cyan was finishing his meal that the first sign of his regular nightmares began to surface again. he started tossing and turning then releasing light whimpers as he dozed. normally cyans presence in the bed with him chased them off and permitted him to return to his nocturnal haven, but without his mate there, Leniad eventually launched himself from his bed, still asleep, and ran face first into the nearest wall, the impact and collapse to the floor waking him.
