Trevor rocked impatiently on the chair. It was getting cold by every second and he was already anxious about the entire event.

"Not to worry. If you're in that much of a hurry, I'll gladly take the two of you out there now" Uncle Brad had appeared beside them in camouflage but not the usual green he was wearing as of late. He was in white to match the snow. The baseball cap was replaced with a white beanie, letting the medium lengthed light brown hair of his flow out. Many usually mistook the man for being the eldest -Leo's father and aunt being older than him- but he was only in his late twenties. "Get you out and back in before it gets worse" his right green eye -the left one completely covered by his hair- rolled over to his children, both of whom wore identical jumpsuits. How a young man such as himself have nonidentical twins at the age of fourteen was an entire different story. He grabbed a case of ammo, jamming it into the sniper he had in his arm. "Shall we?" He hefted the large gun at Leo as he trailed off into the snow, his kids running with joy as they carried their own guns.

Trevor rose from the chair, following the same method that Uncle Brad had done with the sniper he handed to Leo. "Well...here goes" he was not sure how to adress any of what was going on, but decided to go with it. He waited on Leo as Uncle Brad stood by a tree in the shadows.

Leo looked at his uncle as he talked, his heartbeat speeding up the entire time. It's about time!

He stood up and took the rifle offered to him by Trevor, giving him a nervous yet anxious smile in the process.

"Let's get this over with," Leo said to Trevor and began to walk in the direction of his uncle. He didn't want Trevor to know that he had a feeling that something will happen that will change both of their lives. Forever.

Trevor followed closely as they neared Brad. The man smiled as he moved off into the forest, his kids following closely behind him. He stared up into the sky, the full moon not at it's exact fullest, but high enough to his liking.

"We're going to do a little scouting for the deers.." He tried not to make that sound boring enough. A person could spend hours in looking for an animal if they were not looking right. He watched as the snow began to fall a little faster, prompting him to place on a form of shades in the darkness. "You all just stay here and wait for the others to come" with that he vanished into the shadows with a bag, his white clothing eventually blending in with the snow around him. When the others had arrived with Aunt Amelia, Brad appeared out the snow again, the bag missing. He nodded at Amelia as she quickly left off. "Let's get going before it gets worse. I found a few deers running around when I went to look around"

The male began to lead the way once more as several sounds were heard: the wind blowing, the occasional creepy silence, and the sounds of several animals or something else running through the forest. The man stopped for a few as he neared Leo. "Hey, bud. Listen very carefully" his head moved as if he had set his sights in on something. "There's a deer few clicks in front of you. Listen..."

Having to council out the sounds of the wilderness and nature around him, Trevor did hear some rustling around, almost in front of them. Brad motioned for Leo to take aim with the scope after taking it himself to show him a good position for him to shoot with. "When I tell you to fire" he said as quiet as possible "I want you to pull the trigger"

In Leo's sight, he would see brown fur near a bush, the leaves brustling. Brad smiled. "Fire"

---------------------

Brayden had spent part of the night in the cave talking with their leader of sorts, Damian. He was the one that helped set him up into the town very easily.

"I take it everything went well?" The man tied his long black hair back with a rubberband as his fixed the thin beard in some kind of fashion.

"There were a few complications....They're here" Brayden stared as him as the man turned to face him.

"Is it possible that they know?"

"I don't see how they could. I'm certain all of us were very discreet this time."

Damian peeked out the cave, examining a large crowd of men and women, having some kind of party of sorts. He stared back at Brayden. "We have waited around too long for them to ruin this. The cycle starts tomorrow at midnight." A tone of anger rose in his lungs as he tried to conceal it a little. They had waited around too long for this to be ruined.

"We'll handle it" Brayden sniffed around for a few, a familiar scent greeting his nose. "Yea...It'll get done" with that, he quickly trekked out the small hole him and Damian were in. Snapping his finger, Lynette and his friends gathered around him as they headed out into the thick snowfall, the moon slowly rising into it's final peak.

Leo watched as Uncle Brad disappeared into the snow. He pulled his coat closer around him as he looked around for any signs of possible danger.

When Brad returned, Leo gripped the gun so tightly that his fingers turned white as he followed Brad into the snowy forest.

He paid close attention to what Brad said even though he still had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. He could see the brown figure in his sights.

'That's not a deer,' Leo thought to himself but took a deep breath anyway. He didn't want to disappoint his uncle.

He fired. The gun made a loud thunder-like noise accompanied by a cloud of smoke in front of Leo's face. He heard a high-pitched yelp before the brown figure collapsed to the ground, dead.

"Not a deer?" Brad chuckled as he rose from his crouching position. "Fires a gun for the first time and all of a sudden he's some big ol' expert" the words trailed with him as he vanished from sight again. Only a scope could probably make him out.

"Not a deer huh" his voice strained as the man dragged the body that Leo shot. The bullet was in the back near it's head, the body still twitching as blood poured on the brown fur. "Looks like a deer to me" he dropped the large body down, the antlers almost snapping. Within an instant, several howls were heard.

"Well hate to spoil the night, but those things have an adavantage out in the snow especially at night. Help me get this into the basement" he could think of a nice dinner coming from the creature. With that, Trevor and Claude helped him with the dead animal.

------------------------

They had spent minutes chasing after the man, but he was very difficult in the snow. His scent seemed to be everywhere and his clothes, even with eyes like theirs, were difficult to spot. The sound of silenced shots hit his ears on several occasions as Brayden and his friends looked around. In that timeframe, a large shot went off followed by a whimper. Brayden stopped in his tracks, turning the opposite direction as he ran on all fours. His eyes were graced with a gruesome sight. Lynette layed in the snow by a tree, her naked form motionless with a bullet in her spine, smoke sizzling from the wound. Before he could move, the same man appeared, hefting up a deer in the almost exact position as Lynette. The bullet even matched the same spot. When he vanished, his yellow eyes were fixed on the group he could see prefectly clear in the night. His snout flared as he howled I'm anger. When the group left, the towering monster began to shrink until Brayden stood in its place, naked. Not wasting time, he quickly hefted up Lynette's body as the others followed him back to the cave miles away.

Leo was confused when he saw the corpse of the deer his uncle brought back. He could swear he saw something else in the scope of the gun. Maybe the snow was playing tricks on his mind....?

His blood ran cold when he heard howles nearby almost as soon as his uncle dropped the body of the deer on the ground in front of the group. Wolves were in the area.

He followed the rest of the group back to the cabins with the gun still firmly in his grasp. As he passed the vehicles, he leaned it against one of them before practically sprinting into his cabin and into his room. He wanted to put as much space between him and the wolves as possible in case they came after him for whatever reason.

Wait a minute....

If Uncle Brad had seen the body of a wolf near the deer's body, he would have brought it back too, right?

Leo nodded to himself just to reassure himself that the wolves weren't after him for killing one of their own. He relaxed his muscles and moved to sit on his bed (he was standing at the door with his back facing the door). He ran his hand through his hair as he sighed. The wolves weren't after him.

Trevor did not think much of it. Quite frankly, he was not the kind of guy to go out and kill an animal, but he was bummed to not be able to shoot the gun he had at least. The howling brought him back to his dream from before. He was not taking chances, prompting him to drag the corpse of the animal faster. As he approached the cabin, he dropped the deer on the porch like Brad instructed and immediately hauled out of there. Although there was no blood on him, he still felt weird about carrying something big and dead. He was going to take three showers just to make himself feel better. He chuckled as Leo immediately took off for his room.

"You alright" he leaned against Leo's door.

----------

Tears formed as Brayden watched Lynette's body burn in the large fire. They could not leave her body as it was for various reasons. Resting under a large black blanket, the naked male had of look of anger. That brown haired bastard had led them around just to set them up. What did those humans get from killing them? A large firm grasp was placed on his shoulder, but he did not look. He knew who it was.

"I know this horrible, but the cycle is beginning to start" Damian waited for a response before heading out. It was the way of their pack to easily forget those that died, but for someone like Brayden, that was easier said than done. He just could not find someone he liked and shared a lot of moments with within a day. Not like he would have a good form of thinking when the cycle went into full bloom the following night. Lynette's scent was still fresh on his nose. He even began to smell her blood from the tree he found her at. That was odd as their blood simply faded away, but he was too messed up to care. He slowly got up. He had to get some rest and clothes at the condo.

Damian stared up at the moon, smiling. A familiar yet different scent began to pick up in his nose. It was faint, but it certainly would get stronger until it would be unbearable -the only thing that could drive a male mad- within the next full moon.

Leo practically jumped when he heard Trevor's voice at the door. Realizing that it was only his friend, he stood up and walked towards the door, opening it once he got there.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Leo said looking around nervously thinking that the wolves had somehow made it into the cabin. He swallowed in order to try to calm his nerves. "I think."

When the door opened, Trevor saw Leo's retreating form. Although he tried to remain calm, it was obvious something bugged him. "Was it the doe?" He always found that word funny, though he realized the deer was actually male. He heard the howls too, but he was not at all spooked by them. Wolves were fascinating creatures to him. "Well if you're thinking you're alright, then I'm thinking that I am alright too."

If Leo was not sure, he was not going to press into it much. It was late at night and he was ready to get three showers over with. "See ya in the morning."

For a male determined to hit the hay at midnight and wake up late, he found himself sitting in a white T-shirt, gray plaid pajama pants, and just socks at six o'clock in the morning. Trevor sat on the couch with a cup of Cinnamon Orange tea on the table. The male had a few interesting dreams. The one that took it for him was where he kept springing out of his sleep and every horror figure he knew -and then some- sprung up in front of him. He sat there, flicking through channels while biting on his nails. Moments like those made him want to hook up his system and see if there was a stable connection for him to connect online.

"No, it wasn't the doe," Leo muttered and looked at the floor, unable to look at Trevor due to the worried look in his eyes. Sure they were friends and friends worried about each other but....if he had mistakenly killed a wolf along with that deer, the rest of the pack may not be very friendly towards him. That is, if he ever came across the pack again and they remember.

When Trevor went back to his room, Leo hated seeing him go, but he bid him a good night anyway and closed the door.

He decided to turn on his computer before he went to bed. He quickly discovered that there was a pack of wolves seen mainly at night in their area.

He shut off the computer, got ready for bed, and climbed into bed even though his mind was still alert to the possibility of a wolf entering the cabin.

At about 1 in the morning; however, he finally did fall asleep only to be pummeled by dreams of wolves: running around with them, giving birth to pups, and even getting mated by one.

He woke up just as the sun was beginning it's ascent into the sky soaked in sweat despite the winter chill that continuously swept through the cabin. He quickly got up and got a shower to wash off the sweat, hoping that the dreams he had last night wouldn't come true.

Trevor peered out the window as sunlight began to peer through the blinds. He had no idea how today would play out. Leave it to him, his mind was set on staying in for the entire day. He walked downstairs after heading into his room to grab a coat and shoes. A particular interest had piqued his mind. He walked towards the same area they went when Leo apparently shot a deer. He stopped in his tracks however, noticing the same smell of incense lingering in the air. The smell of lavender and something else. He shrugged it off, exhaling white breath as he focused on the tree that came into the distance. He stood at the tree, noticing a small graze mark on the tree. He thought that was interesting how it almost hit the tree, but pierced through on the side. Examining the semi hole a little closer, there was a dark red substance on it: blood. He stopped poking and peering through to see how much of a chunk the bullet took as he noticed two trails. The trails were interesting in that they were blood. The trail that Brad had made when he brought the deer towards him and another trail that led deeper into the forest. The snow did its best to cover it up, but the red stains were still there.

He looked in both directions for a few before picking up the silver and black casing of a shell. The bullet was adorned with some kind of floral design and an insiginia of a knife crossbone. His uncle must had been too obsessed with hunting. He placed the casing in his pocket, walking towards the direction of the new blood trail. If the snow covered it up after they came back from doing some kind of venture into the town, he probably would not have another chance. He would be back before others started to stir, he was certain.

"There's nothing to be worried about," Leo muttered to himself as he paced back and forth in his room. For whatever reason he could not sit still this morning. Every time he tried, he became restless and the same images from last night filled his head until he stood up and began pacing yet again.

He didn't he notice Trevor leave the cabin.

"Maybe if I write down my dreams they'll go away," Leo muttered and sat down at his computer, booting it up in the process. "Yeah, that should work."

He opened up a word processing document as soon as the computer started up and began typing up what he had seen last night.

When he finished, he saved it before he started to pace again.

It's going to be a long day...

Trevor walked along the side of the trail of blood. The path eventually led him to a creek and a slanted slope. Walking down the snowy hill to see where the blood led, hr found an entrance toa cave of sorts. He thought him and Leo could explore the path. Before he could press any further, two shadowy figures began to emerge from the cave.

"The cycle has started since last night" a slightly deep voice said, his words echoing in the empty cave, allowing Trevor to hear him.

"What you ask of me can be done. It requires a little sacrifice" the voice sounded creepy to the point an extra shiver came under his coat. It sounded like a womans, but also a male tone inbetween. A monotone voice. As the figures stepped out the darkness, a man and a female figure hidden underneath a black hat with a veil of sorts and a long black fabric coat were shown. The male appeared in his early thirties, lomg brown hair and a thin beard along his jawline. The strange woman was unnoticable except for her long black nails and what appeared to be silver hair.

"With all the things taking place tonight, you'll have the..." he shot a glare up the hill. "Someone's here"

Trevor quickly reached in his pocket, pulling out his phone and earphones. Within an instant, he was walking by, whistling to whatever tune was playing in his ear. The man had arrived to see Trevor walking by. Ignoring it, though he sniffed around for a he smelled something in the air, he went back to the cave.

Trevor wasted no time walking back to the cabins. Upon his return, he noticed Leo's grandfather outside.

"Taking the time to see the sights, eh?"

"Yes sir" he pulled the black earphones out his ear. "So what's on the schedule today?"

"Well Bradley left this morning into town to rent a car. There's no need for us to lug you all to places that may bore you. Today will just be everyone doing their own little thing. Tomorrow however will be a gathering for us all. We have some things for you all. "

"Ok then. I'lm just head back in then" he turned away quickly, heading inside. Once upstairs, he headed towards Leo's door. He knocked on it while holding the silver casing that housed the bullet the night before.

Leo continued pacing in his room. For whatever reason, he just couldn't sit still. Something didn't feel right and Leo had no idea what it was.

Leo jumped when he heard the knock at the door. Warily, Leo walked over to the door and opened it a crack. He peered out through the crack and saw that it was only Trevor.

Leo sighed and opened the door wider.

"Hey man," Leo said and leaned against the door frame. "What's up?"

Trevor flashed the silver casing towards Leo's face.

"I went outside for a few and found this. I probably found something else too, but that's probably not so important" he thought to tell him about the weird woman and man that were near a cave, but it was probably just his own mind playing tricks on him. The lady probably had a scratchy throat or some kind of sickness.

"I'll leave you alone I suppose" He did see a look on Leo like he was worried or something. He was not the person to poke and pry for information. If Leo had something to tell him, he would. Instead, he sat on the couch and began to flick through channels, waiting for some adult figure to announce what probably would be taking place.

Leo flinched when Trevor flashed the silver case in front of his face. It was more of a reflex really but he was still confused. What did that have to do with anything?

"Ah....okay," Leo said questioningly as he watched Trevor go and do whatever it is he did. He closed the door slowly and made his way to his bed.

He flopped down on the bed and began flipping through the channels. Whatever had made him antsy earlier had finally dissipated....or so he thinks.

Trevor ran through the channels until a horn was heard. He rose from the couch slowly as he headed back downstairs. Outside near the front door, a white mustang was parked with all the other cars. Brad had stepped out the car as another car rolled in. The female behind the wheels was different. Her head was red like Amelia's, prompting Trevor to realize it was her daughter. "I guess everyone's here" that meant another day could take off. He did plan to tell Leo about the cave, but that was for another endeavor. The male was just glad that there was another form of a vehicle. Stuffing himself inside a van just bored him beyond all reasoning. He headed back upstairs to ready himself for the day.

When everyone was awake and ready, Leo's parents announced the events for the day. They had to go meet some friends of theirs. It honestly felt like he was at some kind of family reunion or gathering of sorts rather than on a vacation. If he had some kind of down time to himself, it was something he did not mind. Especially if he was behind some kind of wheels. He took the keys from Leo's mom after getting the talk about driving responsibly. In an area full of snow, it would be impossible for him to miss seeing something that was not of the color white. He waited downstairs fully clothed for Leo. He thought to hit the same cafe up instead of eating the breakfast Amelia had prepared. Sometimes she made the best food and other times -like this particular morning- she made things that did not agree with his tongue.

Leo jumped when he heard the horn. He didn't expect it this early on in the day. He hopped out of bed and made his way to the window only to look out it to see Brad's white Mustang in the parking area. Leo sighed and went to get ready.

He didn't rush to get ready as he really didn't care what was going on since it was all probably going to be boring seeing as last night's excitement is done and over with. He'll just get the low down from Trevor is all.

When he was dressed for the winter weather, he headed down and saw Trevor waiting for him with car keys in his hand. He made his way over to him with a smile.

"You got permission from Mother to drive?" Leo asked and lightly punched Trevor in the shoulder. "Awesome! So, where are we going?"

Trevor watched as Leo descended the stairs. He felt a jab to his arm, prompting him to do the same. "I thought to hit that cafe up again and just go from there" he walked outside, hopping in the car. If it was him, he would flee the entire town, but there was possibly more they could find that they could not when just walking through the town. "Oh yea. I found this trail that led to a cave earlier today" he did not tell him the trail was of blood and the two people he briefly encountered.

Trevor had arrived into the town again. He stopped the car.by the cafe, but not before hefting the keys at Leo. He had no intention of driving the entire time.

------

Brayden was a drunk mess. The male had his coffee laced with some kind of Brandy as his head rested on the cash register. He tried to shake her scent off his nose, but he smelled her everywhere, even on the two boys from yesterday.

"Works for me," Leo said with a shrug and followed Trevor into the car and then into the cafe when the arrived there, catching the keys when Trevor tossed them to him. "A cave? What cave? I've never heard of any caves in this area."

As soon as Leo entered the cafe, his antsy feeling returned. He began flicking his eyes around the cafe even as he and Trevor took their seats. He briefly saw a guy with his head resting on the cash register looking either drunk or extremely tired. Leo couldn't tell. He didn't even know who this guy was, but something underneath his antsy feeling told him that he knew this guy...somehow.

"You want to order anything?" Leo asked Trevor unable to sit still.
