It had been another fab night, and Yuval Sawada and his all-female backing band (the Skellobillies) were heading out to the merchandise table to greet all the fans that had stayed in order to meet their idols.

Griffin Read wasn't what you might call a fan ready to meet his "idols," but he was interested in the band. Ever since his older sister got him into it, Griffin found himself drawn to the only male in the band, Yuval Sawada, and that was who he had come here to see tonight. Sliding a poster towards him, Griffin murmured quietly, "Nice to meet you, the name's Griffin Read. I'm a -- big fan of yours."

"Nice to meet you too, Griffin." Yuval smiled. "How long have you been a Skellohead?"

"Maybe a year or two? My younger sister got me into it, and I found out I like the music -- and you." He winked slyly. "The poster's for her birthday, by the way, her name's Amanda if you want to address it to her," Griffin told him.

Yuval did exactly that.

"You need something signed aswell." Yuval added. "This is also the last night of the tour so maybe your sister would like a surprise visit. Has she seen us before? I also noticed that you liked me, as that was why I was smiling whenever I looked in your direction."

Well. That managed to catch Griffin completely off guard. There was something he wanted signed for himself, personally, so he slid the small photo of Yuval himself out of his pocket and onto the table.

"I'm sure she'd love a surprise visit. She's been to concerts before, but couldn't make tonight's -- she's working." At the comment about him smiling at him, Griffin couldn't help but blush, though his dark skin managed to hide most of it. He had been smiling in his direction, after all.

"Can I ask where your genetics come from?" Yuval asked after signing the photo (he was eager to know).

(all of the Skellobillies are multiracial).

"My biological dad is black, my biological mom is white and Indian," Griffin replied, carefully taking the photo back and placing it in his pocket. "And you?"

"My mother was Israeli and my father was Japanese." Yuval replied.

"Ah, mixed-blood, like me." For some reason, it made him feel warm inside. Looking into Yuval's eyes, Griffin asked, "You uh -- you need my contact info or anything?"

"I'll give you mine and then we can pay a visit to your sister." Yuval offered.

[HeIsKing]

"Sure. Here--" Griffin dug into a different pocket, taking out a small notebook he kept on him and giving it to Yuval. "You can write your stuff here."

Yuval wrote down his contact details.

"Do you have a camera on you?" Yuval then asked.

(Yuval loves nothing more than to see his fans leave with smiles and photos).

"I've got my phone, if that counts." Another dig into his pocket revealed a slightly damaged Windows phone, the best thing he could afford at the moment.

"That's perfectly fine." Yuval smiled.

At close to 43, he had seen pretty much everything that technology had to offer.

Moving so that he could pose beside him, Griffin got a shot with him smiling wide next to Yuval, his face beaming. It'd been too long since he'd been this happy.

"Thanks so much."

Yuval's Skellobillies bandmate (Donna) took the photo. Truth be told, it had been a long time since he had also been happy, after being raped twice and bouncing back from a stint with alcohol and drugs (which happened after the 2nd rape attempt).

Once it was over, and the pictures successfully saved to his phone, Griffin turned to Yuval. "So we'll see each other later then? When should I contact you?"

"No need to do that as we're gonna surprise your sister tonight, if not now." Yuval vowed.

(but that's in the past, and Yuval is living every moment like it could be his last. He is also extremely generous towards his fans, and will go that extra mile if need be).

"You want to go now?" Griffin's voice echoed in shock as he spoke. "I mean, we can, if that's what you want."
