The girl's eyes lit up and she nodded enthusiastically, walking back towards the wagon alongside Henry, clearly excited at the prospect of finally being able to talk to an elf. She handed the child she still held in her arms off to Gisel and already began speaking of how this was the best moment of her life; Gisel smiled and rolled her eyes teasingly. "She gets too excited over everything," the woman laughed but her daughter continued to talk as if no one had said a word.
Fenris wasn't sure why this felt so bitter. He knew Darren would be back but it felt off for this to happen at such a time like presently. Fenris bites his lip nervously as he's given the hat, tipping his head up to meet Darren's lips in a kiss. He hugs him back closely, as close as he can get, before eventually having to pull away after a few moments. "I'll miss you too," he said slowly, trying for a smile. "Bring me back something nice?" Fenris jokes a bit and hums. "I'll see you soon then." He finishes saying his goodbyes to Darren, taking a little more time just because he could, and then soon enough turned to head towards where everyone else was at the wagon. It took him some minutes to waddle his way over there but he managed, and when he did he was half out of breath. "Thank God for a wagon," he murmured quietly.
