She couldn't help but laugh a little as much as she tried not to. "Oh gee, I dunno. I thought it was pretty obvious." She said, as she laughed.

"Well, you know. Pregnancy brain and all that. It has a way of making me a little stupid from time to time." He smiled and laid back a bit in the chair when he suddenly winced and jolted upright, moaning quietly.

She sat up, next to him as she kicked her legs lightly. "I'm..uh sorry for snapping earlier.."

"It's alright, honey. I understand how hard all of this has been." He straightened himself as best he could, wriggling in the chair as his belly came to rest comfortably and heavily in his lap. "The little one is getting restless in here. It won't be too much longer now until we meet her," he grinned, patting his swollen belly lovingly. "In the meantime, I'm not looking too terribly fat, am I?" he invited teasingly.
