Marius smiled and kissed Astien's cheek. Kida giggled. "Are you getting married before the baby comes?"
"Runs in the family, I guess," Juniper chuckled.

Hours passed, and everyone laughed and enjoyed themselves. Heceril told more stories, everyone sang songs, s'mores were roasted, and Astien won an eating contest. It wasn't often these days that he was able to say he was full with his currently inhuman appetite, but somehow his new family managed to fill him. The sun was almost gone from the sky when everyone decided it was time to say goodbye.
"Bugh, I'm stuffed." Astien groaned. "That's rare." Delas noted.

Marius smiled and got them back to the inn. "Sleep well you guys."
"I'm sure we will," Wyn said with a yawn. Marius carried Astien into their room and set him on the bed. "Have a nice time?" |
