An arena battle. Thanix grinned as he followed one of the palace guards inside. The man had told him of the battles after Than had caught his attention by merely showing off his swordmenship to impress some passing omegas of all things.
Daegan would have rolled his eyes if he knew that Thanix had done exactly as told without trying to do so. The omega already scolded him on his flirtaious nature on a near daily basis. Of course, Thanix would admit that he sometimes did so just to get under his friends skin.
Back at hand, the crowd that had gathered was rather large, mostly they looked to be wealthy and he could see a few of them slipping papers onto a tray. Betting perhaps?
He caught sight of the emporor, because regardless of what he often said, Thanix knew well who both Tiberius and Arnor were, and if he wanted to slip inside then he needed more then anything to make sure he was seen and seen in a well light. Word was, no quard was truly approved unless the emperor himself gave at least a nod, or so he had heard.
.................
"Ah, he....he ran off with a kitchen boy, your Highness", Arias answered almost unsurely. He didn't know whether Yuan had liked the other or not, or what effect the news of his leaving may or may not have. For now he stayed behind the omega and carried the tray as instructed.
The way the normed walked and from the girth of his middle Arias guessed he was six or so months along with the emperors third? fourth? child.
He wasn't sure, but he did know that Yuan was the emperors supposed favorite and Yuan seemed intent to keep it that way.
