That scream must have been accompanied by a strong push and/or hard contraction because the baby's shoulders quickly came afterwards. Josh could swear that the baby was coming faster now too.

Nate felt the shoulders pop out and gave another hard push "HHHGGGNNN"

Now the baby was almost completely out of Nate and Josh helping it slide out, ready to wrap it in a towel and cut the cord.

Nate let himself fall back and panted wildly "Is it ok? What is it?"

"Your baby girl is fine" Josh answers as he nervously cuts the umbilical cord, dries, and wraps the baby in a towel. He checks and does not see another baby yet but guesses it is close. He moves to hand Nate his new daughter.

Nate takes the baby "Wow she is so beautiful!"

"She is" is all Josh could say as a feeling of sadness came over him since he was not keeping his children. This passed quickly thanks to the situation and since it was for the best. He started to move if to take the girl when Nate was ready, preferably before his next contraction, but was cut short by a sharp, intense pain in his stomach. He groans and grinds his teeth in pain and has to brace himself on the bench, one of his hands accidentally lands on Nate as he clenches his hands into fist.

"OW!" Nate cries out when he feels Josh's fist hit him "Are you alright?" Nate asks "Its the babies isn't it?"

"Just a...strong kick..." Josh grunted this lie out, he figured it was not even fooling Nate's daughter but he was not going to admit it after what Nate had played with. In fact this was the fist pain that had broken his concentration and got his attention since the game ended; not to mention it was the fist that Josh could not deny as a contraction.

"Yeah alright" Nate says tiredly "Im the king of denying labor today remember" He sighs

Josh tries to chuckle but is comes out as something remotely like two grunts before the pain eases off. He is able let off of the bench and Nate and ask "you almost ready for another" trying to ignore the contraction.

"Yeah I think so. Looks like you might be having your first while I have my last one though" Nate gives a small laugh

Josh replied with a pathetic chuckle while waiting on Nate to give him a heads up that he was ready.

"I-I think the next one is ready" Nate swallowed hard, feeling another hard contraction

"Do you want me to take your girl?" Josh asked worried what might happen during the contractions.

Nate nods and hands the little girl to Josh

Josh lays the baby girl down just in time for another contraction to hit him. Moments earlier he would have dropped her. He turned towards Nate to show that he too was having a contraction, while resting his arms on the bench.

"Just breathe" Nate reminded him "I did it through a lot of the game" He said

Josh just gritted his teeth until the contraction finished. He wondered why the contractions were so strong but his water had yet to break. "I could not have done it."

"I thought the same thing but trust me it helps"
