"Thanks" Shadow smiles and carefully gets into the car.

“No problem, Shadow.” Void smiled back at him happily and he started to get the car started.

Shadow buckles his seatbelt after a moment of struggling to get it to reach across his stomach.

“Want some help, Shadow?” Void asked his best friend and he rested his hands on the steering wheel.

"I got it, thanks though" Shadow chuckles.

Void smiled at his best friend happily and he started to put on the engine in his car.

Shadow relaxes in his seat and watches the scenery go by out the window.

The scenery started off with a nice view of the town below on the road down the small mountain and Void continued to drive the vehicle happily.

Shadow yawns a bit and starts to fall asleep as he watches the peaceful view outside pass by.

“Aww, cute.” Void said quietly to himself as he noticed his best friend had fallen asleep and he continued to drive into town.

He wakes up when they arrive at the store "Sorry for dozing off on ya, I didn't really sleep very well last night"

“Don’t apologise, Shadow. You’re allowed to sleep.” Void said back to Shadow to reassure him and he smiled at his best friend happily as he got out of the car.

"Tell that to my kid, they don't seem to like letting me sleep at night" Shadow laughs.

“You’re a cheeky baby. Your papa needs sleep.” Void said back to Shadow’s belly and he laughed with his best friend happily.

Shadow's baby moves a bit in response to hearing Void's voice "It really seems to like your voice"

“Aww, how adorable. Well, my voice is very smooth in tone. Not to toot my own horn.” Void said in complete confidence and he smiled at Shadow happily.

"That's true, it's actually quite soothing when you need it to be" Shadow admits.

“Well, what can I say. Kids love me.” Void said back to his best friend happily and he smiled at him continuously.

"Kids like me too...I think...I hope..." Shadow says, his smile wavering slightly as doubt begins to creep up on him again.

“Of course kids love you, Shadow.” Void said back to his best friend and he hoped his words brought reassurance to the hedgehog.
