Open Birth Clinic..........A midwife opens her doors (CLOSED MPREG-RP)

Jeff scooted until he was comfortable against the backrest on his bed before spreading his legs and planting his feet firmly on the mattress.

Sophie nodded. "Exactly.........okay, now when you feel the next contraction, I want you to take a deep breath, hold it in and try to push into the direction of my hands. Make sure that you put your chin to your chest and bent forward, so that we get a lot of force into your pushing. Normally, we count to ten and the patient tries to push through those 10 seconds.......do you think you can do that, or should we start with 6 seconds ??", she asked him.

"Let's give ten seconds a try" Jeff said, beginning to feel a contraction setting in. "Here it comes!" Jeff said while straining, putting his chin on his chest while he gripped his thighs bearing down while Sophie slowly counted to ten. At ten seconds Jeff exhaled forcefully, the pressure in his pelvis having increased substantially.

"Good Job, Jeff.......let's try three times pushing during one contraction, okay ?? So, two more to go.......take a nice deep breath, hold it in and push", she said, waiting for him to do so.........

Jeff quickly inhaled, before tensing his muscles to push again. Inside his body Jeff could feel the head of his baby against the inside of his birth canal, squirming and kicking wildly as the baby felt the muscles of Jeff's womb compress around it.

Sophie nodded and gently put her fingers into his rectum. "Beautiful, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten and breathe", she said with a smile.

Jeff exhaled and then quickly inhaled to catch his breath, grunting as he felt the pressure of the baby's head growing worse.

"Beautiful, Jeff.......one more time and then we make a little break. Come on, take a deep breath, hold it in and push down", she said energetically.

Jeff curled forward and groaned as he pushed. The pain was growing worse by the second as he felt the baby's head moving further and further into his birth canal.

"That's it big boy. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten and breathe, Jeff", she said and smiled. He was very brave and she was proud of him.

At the end of Sophie's count Jeff suddenly gasped. The pain was becoming much worse but Sophie's encouragement kept him focus on the task at hand-delivering his first baby.

Sophie nodded. "Good, Jeff. Really good. Try to relax.....how are you feeling ?? Is pushing like that okay ??", she asked him and gently removed her fingers, because she saw that it was quite painful for him now as he didn't push.

"I'm feeling a lot of pressure" Jeff said catching his breath. "But this position feels good."

Sophie nodded. "That's perfectly normal", she said and smiled. "One thing: If you want to hold onto something, I would suggest, that you grab your thighs each time you bend forward. As far as pain is concerned, there is another important rule: In this room, everything is allowed. There are men, who tense their fingers, there are men who bend down their toes and there are men who cry or do anything else.......so no matter, what it is, do what helps you pushing and coping with the pressure........don't be shy, just do, what feels good for you", she explained with her friendly voice.

"Thank you, I will" Jeff said catching his breath before he felt another contraction begin. "Here comes another one!"

Sophie nodded, gently inserted her fingers into Jeff's rectum and slowly moved her hands apart, so that it got stretched. "Okay, Jeff. Deep breath, hold it in and push down", she said.

Jeff curled forward, gripping his thighs to push while Sophie began her slow count.

"That's it, one, two, three, four, five, good, six, seven, eight, nine, ten and breathe", she said.

At Sophie's final count Jeff gasped, moaning. The pressure was becoming very intense but Jeff stayed his focus and prepared to push again.

"Good job, come on, one more. Deep breath, block and push", the young doctor said.
