Marius rolled his eyes and left the room. He quietly entered his and Astien's bedroom. He kissed Astien's head and snuggled up against him with his arms firmly around him.

Astien hummed, but dd not open his eyes. "Seroteth is trying to get tem to let you and Cormac into the hearings." He sai quietly. "I really hope he can pull it off."

"At the very least they should get Cormac in. It's probably driving him nuts that he can't do much to help you. He's been reading books ever since we got here."

"At least he's expanding his horizons. Though the aadem has a wider selection than I do." Astien winced and placed a hand over his belly. "Ugh, Aiden, please. You've drained me today. Please, just sleep." Aiden wouldn't listen, and kept rolling and kicking. With a sigh, Astien spoke "you're going to be a stubborn little boy, aren't you?"

Marius chuckled and nuzzled Astien's neck. "He's just worried about you, that's all."

"I know. Gods, I'm tired." After a few minutes of silence, Astien managed to fall asleep in spite of Aiden's movement. Delas then came into the room, now fully dressed. "
Oh, there he is. I guess I'll have to wait until he's awake to tell him."

"What do you need to tell him?" Marius asked quietly.

"Mail came! He's got a package from Falmein! I think it's baby stuff."

"I'll be sure to tell him once he wakes up. Why don't you and Cormac go out to town and find something to prepare for dinner?"

"But it's not dinner time yet." Delas whined. Instead, he got onto te bed and somehow managed to wriggle his way between Marius and Astien. "Mmmmm, warm."

Marius sighed and ruffled Delas' hair.

Marius chuckled. "Thank you, Delas."

I'Karis came into the room, ready to chew out Marius for sticking him with building the rest of the changing table, but paused when he saw the three on the bed. Eyea fixed and saying nothing, he began moving to take off his pants.

Delas was trying to contain laughter. I'karis looked at him. "Get the boy out. It's time for just us three."

I'Karis backed out o the room, his hand still on the button of his pants. Delas buried his face in his pillow, laughing.
