"It might be best to go inside when the sun sets. Who knows what's out here."

Wyn nodded. "I hope Cormac and Marius are safe."

"Marius must be safe, he's in the town. Cormac, he's all alone. I hope he's not panicking. I hope he isn't too worried."

[Eskal]

"I'm sure he's fine, but I just can't help but worry."

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"I know. I'm worried too. Let's just focus on where we are right now." Astien huffed and took deep breaths as another contraction crashed over him.

[Eskal]

Wyn gathered Astien's clothes and offered him a hand as to help him back to the carriage.

Astien groaned as he slowly walked to the carriage. Once inside, he slowly sat himself on the bed and laid back.

Wyn closed the door and drew the curtains to the window. She pulled up a chair beside the bed and took out her needle work.

Astien closed his eyes and tried to sleep. Try as he might, contractions kept waking him up each time he was almost asleep.

Wyn slept lightly.

Cormac flew for a distance by the light of the stars and the moon. He would stop every few hours to sleep and eat. The sooner he got to Marius, the sooner they would get back to Astien.

Morning came, and Astien was feeling groggy and disgusting, as he was covered in sweat. "Help me into the water." He croaked. "I'm so hot."

Wyn nodded and helped Astien to the stream and went about making breakfast for them.

Astien laid down in the stream, cool water flowing around his body. The smoothe rounded stones braced his back, and he sighed at the relief the water brought to his overheated body.

Wyn brought over a bowl of oatmeal with some berries for their breakfast.

Astien scooted to a large rock sitting in the water, and propped himself up and sat against it. It felt cool against his back, which he was thankful for. He took the oatmeal and ate it slowly, groaning as contractions gripped him.

Wyn cleaned up their dishes once they were done and brought out her needle work as she soaked her feet in the stream. "So how was Bora-Bora?"

Astien tiredly laughed. "It was great. It was so sunny, the beaches were beautiful, the hotel was great, and there were so many merpeople, just walking around like nothing. The whole place was so amazing."

"Sounds like a really beautiful place," Wyn said. "I should keep it in mind for Cormac's and I's honeymoon."

"I would certainly recommend it." Astien said. He groaned as he felt another contraction. He took deep breaths and tried to remain calm, but couldn't stop groaning and wincing. "Gods... Please hurry Cormac." He quietly whined.

"You're doing great," Wyn said.

Cormac saw Shady Meadow a few miles ahead and he picked up his pace. He was already fairly tired form the long spurts of flying, but he had to get Marius back as soon as possible.
