Andrea quirked a brow at Brandon's statement before she returned her eyes on the screen as the machine flickered to life. "What do you know..." Joanna breathed out as Andrea's breath hitched a bit.

"What? What do we know?" Brandon started to get nervous. He looked at the screen, but couldn't make out more than some blobs on some other blobs.

"Congratulations hun, you are having fifteen. Good luck, you're gonna need it at the birth." She said with a grin as she pointed the babies out at the screen. Andrea's face was pale as she mumbled something like a prayer.

"Fif...fi...fifteen!?" Brandon dropped his head back on the table. "How is that even possible? I thought these babies grew huge!"

"They do grow huge." Joanna said with an over-enthusiastic tone, Andrea rubbed her face and shook her head.
"We'd better go." she said as she pulled Brandon up and turned to Joanna to take the sonogram photos. Taking one, she handed Brandon the second copy of the photo before going out briskly, her mind filling up with dozens of thoughts.

Brandon dressed quickly and tried to keep pace with Andrea as she walked briskly away from the clinic. "Is something wrong, colonel? You seem...I don't know, off, if that's not to presumptions of me. I figured I ought to be the one messed up by that information..."

Andrea stopped walking and turned around to face him, her face was pale and she seemed afraid, "I'm sorry Private but I'm currently frightened, I'm not used to pressure like this." she said as she tugged at her sleeves, a habit she acquired when nervous or worried, "I mean, I volunteered to care for the children for at least five years til they reach the age for training and I don't think I can handle this." she was cracking, she scolded herself mentally, but being raised in a family of officers made her feel as if it was her duty to succeed and be strong through everything.

Brandon wanted to reach out to her, but he felt that would be an inappropriate breach of the chain of command. "I could help you, ma'am. They're partially mine, and I don't have to give up responsibility for them just because they're not growing inside of me anymore...let me help, Colonel."

Andrea looked surprised, unused was she to the idea of being helped by someone, "You are willing to help me? Even though you know I'm not as good as my parents?" she choked out as she clutched her sleeve, daring not to breathe in case she was imagining everything.

"How do you know you're not as good as them? If you can be a military officer then you can raise some kids. Be worried for me, who has to get all huge and fat. You won't even recognize me in a few months..." he gulped at that, not wanting to think about how difficult this pregnancy had just become.

Andrea smiled before nodding, "You know, I was so frightened of the future that I even forgot that you'll be doing all the work." She said with a guilty laugh as she shook her head. "Don't worry Private, I'm here for you."
