They snuck past the Beedrill. Later, they encountered a Metapod.

"Ok now that's a Pokemon we can handle." Kyle said, tossing the Pokeball containing Squirtle. "Use Bubble!" In a flash of light Squirtle emerges launching the assault on Metapod.

Metapod got hit, then it used Tackle.

Squirtle avoids the attack, but trips over a branch hitting into a tree. Squirtle slowly gets up, dazed and disoriented, as Metapod spews a String Shot around Squirtle. "No, Squirtle! Damn it!" Kyle exclaimed. "Hurry, break free, you can do it!"

Squirtle broke free, but got hit by Metapod's Tackle.

Squirtle slides across the ground along its belly, before slowly getting up from the ground with a battle cry. "That's my Squirtle!" Kyle shouted happily seeing the determination in his Pokemon's eyes, "Return the favor, use Tackle! Follow that up with Bubble!"

After Metapod got hit by Tackle and Bubble, it started glowing. "Is Metapod doing what I think its doing?" Sean asked.

"Um...I seriously hope it isn't..." Kyle looked on as they anticipated an evolution. "This'll put a huge damper in me defeating it to catch it..."

Metapod had evolved into a Butterfree. "Raticate, let's help Kyle out." Sean called as tossed the Pokeball containing Raticate.

"You two ready?" Kyle asks both his Squirtle and Sean's Raticate, "Squirtle, Tackle!"

"Raticate, Hyper Fang!" Sean called.

[MpregnateMe]

Both Pokemon's attacks land devastating blows on Butterfree. "Alright, now's my chance!" Kyle exclaimed tossing a Pokeball at Butterfree. He watched as it rocked on the ground, all while holding his breath. 'Come on' he thought.

The catch was a success.

Kyle looked at the Pokeball as it made a click, much like a lock on a door. "ALL RIGHT!" Kyle shouted out happily. "I caught a Butterfree!"

"Nice job, Kyle." Sean smiled as he gave Kyle a high five.

Kyle smiled back. "Let's see what Butterfree knows" He pulls out his Pokedex "So Tackle, Confusion, Sleep Powder, and Poison Powder? Nice!"

"Those moves will help you against Brock." Sean said.

"Yes they will." Kyle said giddily. "Just gotta be sure Butterfree can avoid any rock type attacks. Even one attack could be enough at quadruple effectiveness. Wow, it's gotten dark. Should we set up camp or press on?"

"Let's set up camp." Sean replied as he got his sleeping bag out.

Kyle sets up his sleeping bag as well, before setting up a campfire spot. "Hey Sean, can you have your Charmander ignite the branches here?" Kyle asked.
