RJ nodded and kissed Kodi lightly on the side of his head "You will do just fine... as long as we can get you shifted back to your wolf before you go into labor... I don't want to think what would happen if you gave birth in this form..." RJ said and laid his head down against Kodi's shoulder.

"It's going to be a rough couple of hours... They are moving like they are ready to come out today."

"Maybe I should shift now?" He suggests. "So it won't be hard later.." He rested his head against RJ's head when he put his against his shoulder. He held his belly with both hands, trying to soothe their very active litter.

Before he could say anything else, their little pup ran over to his parents, squeaking that little toy and pawing at their legs.

RJ nodded his head "I would, yes... I do not want to wait until it is to late to try." RJ said, then leaned over the edge of the couch to lift their oldest son up "What is it, young Shadow?" RJ asked, tugging at the squeak toy and smiling at their little wolf pup.

"Mm alright.. I"ll do that now then.." He tugged off his clothes and shifted into his wolf form. He sat on the couch, kind of in an awkward position because of his round belly. "I'm so fat," he groaned, laying on his side. He looked up, smiling at Shadow who was now sitting up on the couch.

RJ laughed and reached down to gently rub the pouch that hung between Kodi's legs "You are not fat. You are pregnant with a lot of active little pups... besides, you'll get back in shape after they're born... We'll go run every day until you are." RJ said as he scratched behind Shadow's ears lightly with his other hand.

Shadow squeaked his toy happily and nuzzled close to his parents; he had gotten so big already, feeding off of Kodi and eating raw meats already - his ears were already trying to stand up straight and his coat was growing thicker "Maybe he won't be so small after all..." RJ mused, seeing that Shadow's paws were already growing, almost twice the size of his little body - it was funny watching him try to walk around on them.

Kodi huffed as RJ laughed at him and he laid his head down against the couch, but shifted more to lay on RJ's lap. "They don't feel very little," he replied, brushing his paw over his stomach. He licked RJ's arm. "A run sounds good.. through the forest at home," he said dreamily as he imagined their place in the woods by the water. He couldn't wait to return and see everyone again.

Kodi felt Shadow pressing against him so he lifted his head and licked his son. "look at our big boy," he said proudly, nudging at his back with his nose. He playfully nudged him again, a little rougher this time and the pup tripped a little, but he bounced right back up and started nibbling on Kodi's ear. He shook his head, trying to get him to release his ear, but he growled and tugged playfully, his small tail wagging.

RJ laughed as he watched his son and Kodi playing against him "He sure is a feisty little creature... Are we sure he has Omega blood in him and not Alpha?" RJ asked as he tackled Shadow lightly with his hand, toppling their little pup over onto his back. RJ gently shoved Shadow closer to Kodi, watching as the young pup seemed to settle right down and snuggle close to Kodi's chest.

"all pups like a good playfight," kodi said, trying to pull his head away from the youngster. "Dangit Shadow let go, your little teeth are just like needles!" he growled playfully at his son. Shadow kept holding his ear and was now pawing at his face with his huge paws. Finally he was released as RJ pushed him over, and into Kodi. "Good boy," he said as Shadow settled against his neck. He leaned down to groom his fur.

"Uh huh... They like 'em... Until someone gets hurt!" RJ retorted as he turned Kodi's ear over and swiped at the small traces of blood from four little puncture wounds. He sighed and bent his head, licking the wounds with the flat part of his tongue - they sealed quickly from RJ's saliva on them and he sighed "No more play fights for you, Kodi, until our children are born and you are back in true fighting condition." RJ said with a slightly authoritative edge to his voice.

RJ set his hand on Shadow's stomach, lightly rubbing his son's underbelly - it was the quickest way to sooth the young pup and get him to sleep peacefully for a few hours, they had found that one out, when one night Shadow just would not stop whining; it had been a rough night, that one.

Kodi appreciates RJ cleaning up his bloodied ear after their rowdy son chewed a couple of holes through it. He didn’t know how to play gently unfortunately. He stretched out sligy, trying to relax as much as he could while waiting around for something to happen. “That’s kinda hard with a playful pup around, Rj,” he responded. “But I’ll try..”

Kodi looked down at their son, watching him getting comforted from some belly rubs. He relaxed, and his little hind leg twitched. “Aww look at him,” he said softly, watching their son relax between his paws. He licked his forehead.

RJ frowned and rubbed Kodi's back lightly "Then I should be the one to rough house with him... Not you. You are in too precious of a state to be romping around with a one-month-old wolf pup." RJ said, rubbing up to Kodi's head and back down, massaging his long fingers into his mate's coat and along his spine.

Kodi hummed in delight while RJ stroked his back. “Alright I guess you’re right.. I’ll leave all the wrestling to you then,” he said leaning his head up to lean his muzzle against RJ’s arm. He licked it a little. Kodi was too big and tired to be playing rough with Shadow anyway. “Ooh that’s the spot..” he said happily, tail swaying while he was scratched by his mate.

After a while, Kodi, RJ and Shadow were all asleep on the couch, snuggled together like the perfectly little family that they were.

RJ woke some time later, stomach rumbling loudly - he extracted himself from his small family, intent on going to make them all something to eat; he knew what Shadow and Kodi would eat and already pulled the bowls of raw steak out, setting them on the counter. Now he needed to figure out what it was that he wanted to eat - he stared at the selections of food inside his fridge and freezer, scratching the stubble that seemed to be always growing on his face and cheeks - wolf genes most likely causing the excessive and rapid hair growth.

Kodi slept peacefully with his family with no care in the world. When RJ got up and shifted everybody, Kodi woke. “Hm?” He hummed sleepily, looking up and blinking. His eyes followed RJ as he went to the kitchen, and he laid his fluffy head black down on the couch, snuggling back up with his pup.

He would rest longest, but then he smelled the raw steak. His noise twitches and he looked up towards the direction of the kitchen, thinking about the steak that was out. He didn’t move too much though, as he didn’t want to wake his sleeping son.

RJ finally settled on making himself just a ham sandwich. It was quick, easy, and less of a mess than actually cooking something. He assembled it quickly and then gathered the two bowls of raw steak, bringing them into the living room. He noticed that Kodi was awake and set the bowl near his mate's head "We won't wake him up... He looks to be sleeping peacefully."

RJ sat down on the recliner so he could eat his sandwich and give Kodi some space to eat "How is your stomach feeling? Any lower yet?"

Kodi yawned, showing off all of his pointy teeth. He carefully stepped off of the couch, wanting to eat on the floor and not wake Shadow. He wagged his tail as the bowl of food was being brought to him. “Thank you!” He said happily, settling on the floor and starting to eat the meat. “Yeah, just let him sleep,” he said in a hushed tone. He kept eating his steak, tail wagging.
“Mm I think so.. what do you think,” he asked, starting to stand up for RJ to get a look.

RJ nodded and smiled lightly at Kodi, rubbing his hand over his mate's head tenderly "Just another hour, Kodi... Just another hour and you will be bringing our first litter into the world." RJ said calmly, also wanting to keep his mate calm through this "Eat, you will need your strength."

RJ leaned back in the recliner, munching slowly on his sandwich as he watched Kodi with attentive eyes - they both needed to be more vigilant now, to pay attention to all the signs that Kodi's body would be giving off as the pups made their way to being born.

Kodi nodded, enjoying the gentle pets he revived from RJ. It comforted him. “Another hour?” He sighed a little and dipped his head back down into his bowl. He chewed on a piece of meat and laid comfortably back on his side. In a few minutes he ate his meal, and even licked the bowl to get the last of the juices. He spent the next few minutes licking his chops.


After his meal, he shifted his position and started grooming his belly, trying to reach his privates as well. That was common for canines to lick themselves as the birth of their pups neared. He sighed loudly and laid his head back on the floor.

RJ laughed softly and put his napkin and paper plate on the coffee table, he lightly nudged the food bowl out of the way so Kodi could stretch out further "What? Do you want me to put a movie on for you? Alpha and Omega perhaps?" RJ asked, lifting the DVD shell of the animated movie - It, surprisingly, was one of RJ's favorite movies - So what if it was an animation on their lives - sort of - it was cute!

Kodi stretches out on his side and faced the tv. He sighed loudly, quite bored, since he was just sitting around waiting for progress. He looks up when asked about a movie though. “Sure!” He said happily, tail swaying slightly. He peered over at the disk case, and watched as RJ put the movie in ten DVD player. This would be a good way to pass the time! He stood up and walked over to the couch, carefully climbing up. His belly hung low, slightly swaying a little while he stood up on two legs to get back on the couch.
